JUROR APPLICATION
The City of Windsors Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund (ACHF) invests in the soul of our City by providing
financial assistance to locally-developed arts, culture and heritage projects that provide exciting, surprising and
meaningful opportunities to strengthen our creative community. We need you our community members to
apply to serve on the jury that assesses grant applications made to the ACHF program. When nominating
yourself as a potential juror, please consider the ACHF Program Objectives and Key Priorities:
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Promote innovation and support new, dynamic
efforts in the creative community
Develop unique cultural resources to enhance the
health and vitality of our communities and the quality
of life for our people
Encourage participants in the creative community to
stay and continue to create and work in Windsor
Make arts, culture and heritage central to the lives of
all our people
Increase public awareness and access to the arts,
culture and heritage sectors
Celebrate diversity by recognizing our rich creative
community and value creativity by promoting and
supporting arts, culture and heritage

KEY PRIORITIES
Increase Windsors attractiveness, affordability, and
qualify of life
Support the development of new audiences

Increase the supply of skilled cultural workers

Nurture creativity and imagination through arts,
culture and heritage projects
Encourage the inclusion of diverse cultural groups
Increase public access to the creative community

* Our Jury Members will need to have a strong understanding of the above objectives and priorities
* An up-to-date resume will be required along with this completed Juror Application
* An interview may be required of potential jurors as the final step in the selection process

SECTION B - ACHF JUROR APPLICATION SHORT ANSWER
Please complete ALL of the following questions and attach your answers to your Application Form.

1. Please list and describe several examples illustrating extensive knowledge or experience you possess
that would support your checked boxes in Section A.
2. Remembering the ACHF Key Priorities and Program Objectives, explain why you would be an objective
and engaged juror.
3. The ACHF requires a diverse jury that has knowledge / experience across many arts, culture and
heritage disciplines, as well as solid knowledge / experience / understanding of the business sector.
Please describe, using an example(s), your experience working within the parameters of a budget
(operating / project / etc.).
4. The ACHF Jury will be tasked with examining / judging grant applications from various organizations
within the arts, culture and heritage community. Those applying for funding will have differing levels of
experience in grant-writing. It is beneficial that Jurors have a solid knowledge of grant-writing
processes. Please describe, using an example(s), your experience with grant-writing, or with
adjudicating grant applications.
5. Explain why you believe the Arts, Culture and Heritage Fund is important and beneficial to the cultural
community of the City of Windsor.
