In his letters to
Blumentritt, Rizal
also wrote about
the advantages of
knowing other
languages. He
talked about his
travels, where he
spoke French,
German, Italian,
and English with
his fellow boat
passengers. I
speak with
everybody and at
times I serve them
as interpreter,
wrote Rizal.
Knowing at least 22
languages, Rizal
was a cosmopolitan
of his time, and
Blumentritt wrote
that Rizal can
become for your
people one of those
great men who will
exert a definite
influence on their
spiritual
development.

Do you know that we can also grab an inspiration from his fashion?
For girls, we can wear a blazer or cardigan with a signature style collar from his style
of wearing coats. Especially now the trend is blazers/ cardigans above a very sheer or
pastel sleeveless or shirt. We can also experiment by wearing a JP Rizal inspired hat,
like what the model is wearing in the picture. Accessorize and viola, youre a modern

RIZAL: GAY?
Jose Rizal, our nation's
hero, is a man of dignity
and principles. But wait, a
"man?" We all know Rizal
had a lot of women in his
life where most of them fell
truly, deeply and madly in
love with him. Rizal has
had nine girlfriends (or
lovers) in his life but none
of them ended up on the
altar with him. We were all
wondering what was
wrong with all these
beautiful women; or what
was wrong with our hero?
He had a relationship

RIZAL: A HEARTBREAKER?
Jose Rizal was known to
be a lover boy in his time.
To be exact, he had nine
ladies fall head over heels
in love with him but there
are only a few who
became significant in his
life. Love introduced itself
to Rizal when he was still
a young boy, not even a

studying, Rizal finally
