Communication Plan
VP of Human Resources announces the training program to be available because of the feedback
received from the Employee Opinion Survey on this topic. This will be sent in a Blue Box
communication sent via email and posted the Company Intranet. A second announcement will
be sent in the same fashion announcing the training course will be available for registration one
week prior to start date. A third announcement sent as a friendly reminder to register at the
beginning of the first week of class offerings.

The LMS will send out weekly reminders to active employees who are indicated as a leader with
direct reports to register and who have not completed the course. This is a pre-formatted

message that can be customized with the name of the course and a link to the registration page.
Leaders can then register themselves to a session in their area.

Completion reports will be reviewed on a weekly basis with the Executive Sponsor (VP of Human
Resources) and the Project Manager (Managing Director, Employee Relations) so the Executive
Sponsor can communicate with specific markets and business unit leaders to influence
participation.

A Confidence and Competence Self-Assessment with cover letter addressed to participants

leader to review areas that participants have indicated a need for assistance in the process.
Formative Assessment
Although the formative assessment process during the pilot of the program is typically done in

the development phase, the facilitators and level 1 evaluation on content feedback is valuable in

the implementation processes to instructional design. As part of this project, reviewing the class

evaluation ratings and meeting with the facilitators on a weekly basis to discuss the challenges
learners are experiencing, as well as the successful transfer of knowledge and skill will allow
instructional design to make adjustments in the facilitation materials and activities to overcome
the challenges.

Also reviewing the Confident and Competence Self-Assessments during the debrief meetings
with facilitators can give more insight into necessary changes to ensure learning is happening in
the training program and ultimately positive results.
