SEAN PREACHING AT HOUSE OF BLESSING CHURCH

2015 FAMILY HIGHLIGHTS

The Mission of Church Planting

When does a church go from
planting to planted? We are
not sure of the exact moment,
but House of Blessing Church
here in Taichung, Taiwan
appears to be about there! God
has done so much in our church
over the last year. In the
picture above, you can see the
amazing building that we are
renting now for only $300 a
month! Our Taiwanese pastor
Vic was declared to be tumor
and cancer free in May. We
now have over 200 members
and are seeing our small group
program finally take off. We
have Mandarin, English,
bilingual, and Spanish cell
groups. Thats right, there are
Spanish speakers here in
Taiwan! Who knew? God did.

Starting in 2016, we will launch

our new college fellowship as
well as a youth group/ English
club for local, middle school
students.
Gods vision that he gave the
church was for it to be a bridge
between foreign and local
Christians, so that together, we
could reach Taichung for Jesus.
Plans are in motion to have an
all Mandarin service this year
for those not comfortable in a
bilingual setting. Sean will
continue to oversee teaching
and preaching, as well as serve
as the chair of the Elder Team.
He is also working on creating
seminars to teach new
believers how to study and
understand the Bible.

Sophia Graduated!
We had our first child graduate from
high school and leave us for college!

Trip to Cambodia
The whole family got to finally see where
God is growing his kingdom in great
ways.

Mission through
Education
When Morrison Christian
Academy began 60 years ago, the
goal was to support missionary
families through providing
quality, Christian education for
the missionaries children. Since
that time, the vision has
expanded to using education as
an evangelistic tool in missions in
Taiwan. This last year, Morrisons
three school campuses had over
450 students, with students from
31 different nationalities.
Morrison is working hard to add
more space and grade levels to
reach more children for Christ.
This is now Katies 5th year back
teaching first grade. Every year,
she has students who have never

heard the Gospel, or who know

very little about God and Bible
stories. This year was no
exception, and she and another
teacher have started an after
school program to help these kids
understand Gods love for them.

MISSIONS TRAINING FOR KIDS!

Not only do Morrison students

go out into the community to
serve, but every year the school
sends mission teams of students
and staff to the Philippines,
Japan, and throughout Asia.

2016 Vision and Plans

At House of Blessing Church, our
church is registering with the
Taiwan government as an official
religious association. As well,
we will be starting new fellowship
groups and services to bring more
people in. Our family will be
heading out to many different
locations to do ministry this year.
Katie and Max will be going to
Swaziland in June to work with an
orphanage. Sophia will travel to
Guatemala in May to work with
Operation Mobilizations ministry

for a month. This fall, Sean will

return to Cambodia to teach in
the Bible School there and do
staff training. The greater vision
is to add more pastoral training
from what he has been learning
at seminary.
In addition to the missions trips,
Sean will be working to finish his
Masters degree with Asbury
Seminary in order to improve his
ability to preach and teach the
Bible.
