ONGOING

OCTOBER 13TH 2014 APRIL 1ST 2015

TECHNICAL STAFFING RESOURCES: MECHANICAL CONSULTANT
- Approached by KBR to continue working on the DuPont Cellulosic Ethanol project part-time as a consultant.
- Focused on explosion mitigation and utilizing stress-strain finite element analysis tools.
- Simulated internal explosion forces and provided mechanical solutions to counteract deflections to reduce damage to equipment
KBR: TECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL: PROCESS/MECHANICAL ENGINEER

NEWARK, DE MAY 20TH 2013 OCT 13TH 2014

Large Capital Project Experience: Grassroots Project: DuPont Industrial Biosciences Cellulosic Ethanol
Small Capital Project Experience: DuPont Chemical and Commodity Facilities: Nomex, Titanium Dioxide, and Tyvek
Mechanical design of equipment and machinery with a focus on conceptual equipment
Lead contributor on a patent application through DuPont Industrial Biosciences
Utilized SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor 2014 programs and finite element analysis simulation software in order to analyze
mechanical equipment. (Experience with stress/strain analysis, fluid flow analysis, and thermal analysis).
Developed process flow diagrams and P&IDs to improve process expectations, reduce cost and ensure process safety.
Created specifications and technical datasheets for mechanical equipment.
Worked with vendors to ensure that mechanical equipment met specification requirements.
Provided engineering and design input on mechanically related proprietary equipment

OPERATIONS ENGINEER: ARCELORMITTAL

COATESVILLE, PA JULY 11TH 2011 MAY 20TH 2013
Manufacturing Engineer for the Electric Arc Ladle Refining Furnace, Degasser, and Vacuum Oxygen Decarburizing processes.
Temporary Manager - Ladle Refine Area, Ladle Make Up Area, and Ladle Liner Area.
Shop expert of the degassing process. This included the boiler, ejector system and vessel. The target was to improve pumpdown
levels consistently below 1 mmHg of pressure to meet 1 ppm hydrogen maximum in steel grades as required.
Researched and developed a process that provided an indication of refractory thickness inside the ladle based on the
measurement of temperature on the outside of the ladle using optical pyrometers and thermal imaging cameras.
Improved the scrap charge to liquid metal yield goal of 89.1%. Worked with all area managers to meet this goal.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER INTERN: ARCELORMITTAL
BURNS HARBOR, IN SUMMER 2010
Conducted time studies on the mechanical components of machines to pinpoint inefficiencies
Documented coal/coke heights and calculated compaction in order to ensure that each specific oven was filled to its
maximum capacity
Re-designed a component using 3D modeling software and presented the idea to the Research and Development department
Compiled data and statistically analyzed three different machines in order to compare them to one another and determine
which machine needed mandatory maintenance work and attention.
