Why We Did This

● Winter Break project to learn about
computers
● We wanted a way to share files between all
our home computers
● Just something to pass the time
● This HomeNAS setup provides much better
protection and expansion

# zfs set sharesmb=name=photos mediapool/photos
● Set file system permissions
# chown -R media /mediapool

● Map a drive to
\\<server>\sharename
● Remember to login
with OpenSolaris
account
