Field Testing of Construction Products Seminar Program Evaluation

Introduction
The Field Testing of Construction Products Seminar program will contain a specific
evaluation and assessment plan to evaluate the program throughout the design, development, and
delivery as well as post-delivery long term evaluation. Based on the goals of the training
program, multiple individuals from across a number of departments within the bsuienss will be
responsible for evaluating the program with the goal of improving the program and
understanding its impact on the business and within the industry as a whole.
The Training Manager will oversee the evaluation process. Being versed in the principles
of instructional design will help insure the team has an understanding of evaluation importance
and the proper practices.
Scope
The Market Segment Manager will be key on the back end. With access to and an
understanding of the Engineering community, they will be able to support the team by providing
data on the incident rates of improper testing in the field.
The Claims Manager will have access to the number of claims and payouts related to
improper testing and the trending of this figure over time.
The engineering firms that have attended the seminar will be given a questionnaire
concerning the behaviors of the employees who attended the seminar as well as overall project
issues they have been involved in since the training.

Contractors who commonly work with the engineers that have attended the training will
be interviewed at six months, 12 months and 18 months post training to determine the seminars
impact on project issues.
Surveys will also be provided at these same intervals to Engineering firms and General
Contractors that have attended the training. These surveys will ask open questions concerning
the rate of incidents involving improper field testing pre and post training.
