Report Tarina Hancock
Tarina Hancock has requested a report to evidence her ability to meet the
National Professional Standards for Teaching, in particular Standard 7.1
Meets professional ethics and responsibilities. This report will highlight
how Tarina meets these codes of ethics and conduct established by
regulatory authorities, systems and schools.
Tarina Hancock is a first year teacher at St. Anthonys Catholic Primary
School and was assigned a year 4 class for the duration of 2015. I have
worked closely with Tarina this year in both my capacity as Assistant
Principal Administration and additionally as a fellow teacher within the
year 4 cohort. She is well known by fellow peers and the school
community as not only a quality teacher but a teacher of integrity.
Please refer to the below mentioned points as evidence of Tarinas ability
to meet these professionally standards as required under Standard 7.1:
1. Tarina has attended all staff meetings this year. She has also
attended and played an active role in year level meetings by
volunteering to take the minutes Attachment 1.
2. Tarina has responded to all requested curriculum documentation
from both our Principal and Assistant Principal Curriculum. This
includes:
- All planning documentation and assessment criteria including
modifications in planning for children of interest, in particular
those ascertained ASD, ADHD etc - Attachment 2
- All documentation needed for Parent & Teaching information
nights and Interviews - Attachment 3
- All documentation needed to address children requiring
modifications to teaching and learning EAPs Attachment 4
- All documentation needed for Indigenous children in her care
IEPs Attachment 5
- Completion of report cards Attachment 6

3. Tarina has responded to the requirement of Annotated teaching and

learning programs, lesson plans and teaching materials to show
credit given to sources including peers Attachment 7
4. Annotated assessment items to show credit given to sources
including peers during this year Tarina modified my own
Geography Assessment and came up with a better idea than myself
(very impressive). Additionally she has modified Science CTC unity
to come up with a more time efficient assessment item for our
cohort. Attachment 8 & 9
Tarina is a talented teacher who has great potential and will be an asset in
any school. I have no hesitation in commending her for her ability to meet
the National Professional Standards for Teaching, in particular Standard
7.1 Meets professional ethics and responsibilities.
