RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
IB Geometry Teacher | Eastern High School
Developed and implemented the Geometry curriculum for Eastern High School.
Differentiated instruction promoting success amongst all students through the use of technology.
Assessed the progress of 120 students on a day to day basis.
Developed and implemented daily lesson plans for three sections of Algebra Essentials, two sections of
Physics, and one section of Math Seminar.
Made meaningful connections with troubled students and helped them develop basic Math skills.
Assessed 150 students on a day to day basis.
September 2014-Present
Developed and implemented daily lesson plans for Spanish 101, Spanish 201, and Spanish 202 over the
course of four semesters.
Assessed students speaking and writing abilities in Spanish through written and oral assignments.
Utilized a wide array of Second Language Acquisition research to promote acquisition.
August 2015-Present
Developed and implemented seven Spanish 2 and Spanish 3 unit plans on varying topics.
Created and administered informal and formal assessments such as quizzes, projects, homework
assignments, and unit tests.
Successfully flipped the classroom such that grammar lectures were presented to students outside of class
through Youtube videos and class time was utilized for communicative practice.
Collaborated with 36 other Resident Educators to ensure that over 700 first year students at the University
of Michigan had a successful year.
Promoted social justice, inclusivity, and campus involvement.
Planned and executed at least two community building events weekly for residents ranging from social
justice themed activities to relaxing evenings.
Created, edited, and taught semiweekly Spanish lesson plans for both third grade and forth grade classes.
Collaborated with mentor teachers, other apprentice teachers, and Ann Arbor Language Partnership
professors to make sure students successfully learned Spanish.
Recruited future apprentice teachers through as the Ann Arbor Languages Partnership Leadership Clubs
president.
Mentored a group of five intermediate-level Spanish students with the goal of preparing them for a Spanish
proficiency exam.
Met with these individually each week to teach them valuable interview skills, whilst gaining leadership
and interpersonal experience.
