AboutThisCourse:
WelcometoGovernment!ThisclasswillexaminetheUnitedStatessystemofgovernment,activecitizenshipandeconomicsasit
relatestocurrentevents,recenthistory,andourselves.Thisexperienceisanindependent,studentdrivencourseinwhichstudents
activelyapplytheknowledgeandskillslearnedinpreviousgrades.Studentswillbeexpectedtodemonstrateskillsnecessaryfor
active,effectivecitizenship.Thecapstoneassessmentwillconsistofanissuebasedwhitepaper,whichwillserveasa
culminatingassignmentthataddressestheservice/internshippartnershipthestudentwillestablishandactivelyparticipateinduring
thissemester.Thereisastrongemphasisoncollegepreparation,civicparticipation,andintegrationwithscienceandtechnology.

Youwillneedthisforyourlearningtargetsandyourfieldresearch.

Thecompletionoftheaboveassignmentsatmasteryisnecessaryformasteryintheclass.Examremediationwillbepermitted

willbedealtwithbasedoneachindividual'sscoringonthewhitepaperrubric.Studentswillhaveoneweekfromtheduedateofa
