Some Differences between the Middle Ages and the

Renaissance
Middle Ages:
o People accepted what they were told by the
authorities.
o Early Christian teachers were not challenged.
o Religion was at the center of everything.
But during the Renaissance a new attitude emerged.
People:
o grew less interested in religion and preparing for the
afterlife.
o became curious about the world around them.
o questioned knowledge instead of just accepting it.
There was a renewed interest in the writings of ancient
Greece and Rome.
