Global Youth Service Day (GYSD)

In 2015 we celebrated the 27th Annual Global Youth Service Day. It started as A Day
in the Life of Youth Service in 1988, became National Youth Service Day in 1990.
It mobilizes millions of young people who improve their communities.
Access students from Grigoriopol joined this action and decided to implement an
interesting idea in their community. An English proverb says: An apple a day keeps
the doctor away. , thats why we decided to go down the streets of our town and
give apples as the symbol of healthy life style to random people. These people were
pleasantly surprised and appreciated our work.

RECYCLING PROJECT
Last summer we, the Access students and assistants, were lucky to spend a week at Access camp.
It was great, a real possibility to improve our English and an invaluable experience of life. We
learned a lot of interesting and useful things. We worked on different projects, such as
recycling project. We learned how to decorate used bottles, made some toilet paper roll crafts
and bookmarks out of ice-cream sticks.
When we returned to school we organized activities to teach our primary school pupils what
recycling is and all together we made creative things out of recycling materials .The guys chose
to make turtles out of plastic bottles. Children brought the necessary materials and we realized
various works. Children were very satisfied and interested in what they had done. The most
enjoyable moment was when they told us a big thank you. They were very happy and
delighted and this was the most pleasant and important appreciation for us.

COLORFUL TOWN-MAKES YOUR WORLD BETTER

The objectives of our project were to make alive our town due to attractive wall
paintings graffiti. We wanted to make people feel better and enjoy our works.
Unfortunately, because of the cold weather we couldnt implement our ideas, but in
April we will bring to life this project. Here are some examples of graffiti which we
want to implement next spring.
