HAPPY NEW YEAR SERVITE FRIARS!!
We hope the New Year finds you happy and
healthy. We know it has been a while since our last
newsletter, and a lot has happened since then. So
lets get to it!
As you know, Shawn Amaral and Austin Carr
have entered in the Postulancy Program. They are
attending University of Portland and are living at
the Monastery at The Grotto. We thank The Grotto
community for their efforts in making this happen,
and Fr. Eugene for taking on the role of Formation Fr General at the September Community Dinner
Director.

CLUB Vocati continues to meet almost weekly now

at Servite High School. The CLUB allows the young
men of Servite to discuss topics pertaining to their
discernment and faith. Currently we have 34 young
men signed up. We also continue to have Community
Dinners once a month in the Servite Priory. These
dinners give the young men an opportunity to pray,
eat and talk with Servite Friars. Over the last few
months weve been fortunate enough to be joined
by Fr. John Fontana, Fr. Michael Guimon, Fr.
Souriraj Arulananda Samy and Fr. Gottfried Wolfe.
At the September Community Dinner, Fr. Gottfried
and Fr. Souriraj shared their vocation stories with
the young men during what turned out to be a

very spirited evening. Our December Community

Dinner was hosted by the Mary at the Foot of the
Cross Secular Servites. They cooked and served
a fine Italian dinner. Mr. Jim Carter spoke to the
young men in attendance about what it means to
be a Secular Servite. Some of them have expressed
interest in joining the community. Please let us
know if you are going to be around Servite High
School. We would love to have you visit with the
young men!

with the young men we bring to your communities.
The time you spend with them really does make
an impact. We certainly hope that we are able to
bring more potential candidates to you, to hear
your stories, to experience the charism and to see
firsthand the life of a Servite Friar!
Remember: L.E.I.P! Listen. Encourage. Invite.
Pray.

We thank you for all the support and prayers. We Peace
