COBOURG - A 38-year-old Cobourg man is facing 15 sex-related

charges concerning three children.

Cobourg police began their investigation into the incidents earlier this
month when one victim came forward and told her mother some
inappropriate touching happened, says Constable Cindy Reeves.
"We then called the Children's Aid Society and we started our
investigation," says Const. Reeves.
"It was after the initial investigation the offences came to light.
Children's Aid sat in on all our interviews."
The victims range from 11 to 13 years of age and include both girls
and boys. The offences took place between June 1997 and Sept.
2003. The Cobourg man's name will not be released because it might
identify the victims, reports Const. Reeves.
The charges are: five counts of sexual assault, one count of uttering
death threats, six counts of indecent acts and three counts of invitation
to sexual touching.
