Zero Limits

The Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace and More
By Joe Vitale and Ihaleakala Hew Len, PhD; John Wiley & Sons, Inc, 2007

You are responsible for the world.

Not just your world but the world.
Like it or not, everything that
affects your life, everything that
you have encountered, directly or
indirectly, you are entirely and
absolutely responsible for. The
very moment that you are made
aware of it, the very moment you
know of it, you're already part of it.
You are a part of the world's
problems.
Likewise, in as much as you
already are a part of everything
you've experienced, as much as
you are a part of anyone's
problems, you also are,
ultimately, the solution to the
same problems. You are capable

of curing the world of its pains

and frustrations. All you need to
do is cleanse yourself of all the
negative energies stored in you,
love, and trust in the Divine.

BOOK OF THE WEEK:

If it sounds overwhelming and

oversimplified, chances are, it is.
And that is the miracle of the
Hawaiian teachings of
ho'oponopono. With
ho'oponopono, you can cure
anyone of their conditions
without even being with them or
knowing a lot about them. Their
cure is actually your cleansed
state; your zero state. And in that
state, there are zero limits.

It's All in the Mind

The mind, in its perfect state the Zero
State allows for infinite possibilities. It is
pure potential. It is where the Divine
resides in you. It is where you reside in you.
On the other hand, it is also in the mind, and
only in the mind, in its cluttered state,
where all problems exist. In as much as the
mind can allow one to be limitless, it can
also restrain him and keep him stranded in
his problems.

The Problem Defined

Problems are but memories rooted in the
subconscious. Memories in themselves,
however, are not necessarily problems;
these are just the negative energies
brought about by the pain embedded in the
memory.
Problems persist because memories
which host negative energies are replayed
over and over in your subconscious. This
keeps you trapped, living in that moment,

constantly remembering the pain.

Eventually, this problem can manifest
itself in the form of a physical imbalance
or a disease. The Rulers of Your World
All experiences happen within you. They
are dictated by either inspirations or
memories. Inspirations, unlike memories,
are not man made. They are not
generated by the mind. Whereas
memories are just old programs replaying
in the subconscious mind, inspirations
are messages from God, who is Love,
who is the Divine. Inspiration is allowing
events to unfold as dictated by God.
The challenge then is determining if the
thought originated from the Divine or from
memory. Unfortunately, this cannot be
done. The mind is not capable of doing
so. The only way to 'find out' is by trusting
in the Divine, by letting go, and by
cleansing your self to achieve the Zero
State.

Nothing is Everything
The Zero State is a freed up state where
there are Zero Limits. It is when your mind
is once again a clean slate. The Zero
State is achieved when you have
cleansed yourself of all the impurities of
your thoughts.

Reaching Ground Zero

The ancient Hawaiian teaching called
Ho'oponopono allows for you to reach the
Zero State. Ho'oponopono is of
repentance, forgiveness, and
transmutation. It is a process of cleaning
and releasing toxic energies within your
self to allow in the impact of Divine
thoughts and actions. Literally translated
it means to 'make right' or to 'rectify an
error.'
Ho'oponopono is best expressed in these
four statements:
1. I Love You.
Everything begins with Love. Everyone
just needs to be loved. Loving everyone
begins with loving one's self. The simple
act of saying 'I love you' to yourself makes
a world of difference. You may not feel it
all the time but saying it opens the door to
actually feeling it.
By saying I love you to yourself, you say I
love you to the Divine. God, who is Love,
responds by neutralizing erroneous
thoughts within you. Love then releases
these neutralized energies from the
thoughts; leaving them empty, free and
pure in a Zero State. Finally Love fills
these thoughts with Himself and in doing
so, He renews you.
2. I'm sorry.
Humility is the key. Acknowledge yourself
as the source of error. The mind might not
be able to fully comprehend why you are
the source of the world's problems but
you will simply have to let go and accept it
as it is.

Zero Limits by Joe Vitale and Ihaleakala Hew Len, PhD

Saying sorry acknowledges your limits and

likewise acknowledges your need for
Love's intercession.
3. Please forgive me.
To say sorry is one thing, to ask for
forgiveness is another.
Asking for
forgiveness allows for Love to intercede
and act on you.
Do take note that the divine does not need
an apology to forgive you. You address your
apologies to the Divine but you say them for
yourself. The Divine has always, continues,
and will continue to shower you with Love.
The act of saying I'm sorry, please forgive
me is for you to hear for and from yourself.
Asking for forgiveness and forgiving
yourself clears the path for healing to
manifest.
4. Thank you.
'Thank you' is being grateful for the change
that has happened within you and in others
trough you. You may not understand the
change immediately, you may not
understand the change at all, but thanking
God is letting go and trusting that He has
acted on you.

The Limitations of Free Will

In the process of Ho'oponopono, you allow
the Divine to govern your life.
Ho'oponopono cleanses your soul so you
can hear the inspiration and act on it. But if
everything is instructed to us by the Divine,
where does free will come into play? Is
there even free will at all?

3 of 5

Free will is not absolute, but it exists. You

do have choices! You can either chose to
clean or not to clean. That's it. No more.
You either cleanse yourself to be able to
hear the inspiration or stay engaged in
memories.
Every person is born with a gift. Each
individual has a unique role to play in the
unfolding of the universe. Choice is
realizing that gift and acknowledging it or
deciding to go against it. The latter, of
course, is going against the natural flow
of things and this will definitely keep you
in a constant state of anxiety and
spiritual and material impoverishment.

Going Beyond Yourself

Psychological and, to an extent, even
physical healing can be done with and
through Ho'oponopono. This healing
process uses the updated form of
Ho'oponopono called Self I-dentitiy
Through Ho'oponopono (SITH). Identity
is spelled as such because it
acknowledges the 'I' the Divine who
resides in one's self.
In SITH, the therapist or problem solver,
in order to fully and completely resolve
the problem at hand, must first assume
full responsibility for having created the
aggrieved party's dilemma. He must be
willing to see and accept that the source
of the problem is the erroneous thoughts
that lie within him.
Upon taking complete responsibility for
the aggrieved party's experiences, the
therapist then proceeds to cleaning the

part of him that he shares with his patient.

Since he is responsible for having created
the problem, to change them, he has to
change himself.
The therapist connects his I-dentity or his
mind with God, appeals to Love to correct
the erroneous thoughts that lie within
himself, repents for actualizing the
problem, and seeks forgiveness for having
done so.

Love responds by neutralizing the

erroneous emotions, releasing the
neutralized energies from the thoughts and
filling these then empty thoughts with
Himself.
The therapist, having cleaned and
renewed himself, has cleaned and
renewed his patient as well.

Healing Everything
Everything you encounter can be healed by
you. This is simply because you've already
experienced it, thus it becomes a part of
you. And anything that is part of you, you
are 100% responsible for.
In Ho'oponopono, you need not know
everything about the problem. You don't
even need to know the problem. All you
need to be aware of is that a problem does
exist and that it is already a part of you.
From there all that is left to do is clean
away.

The Map of Life's Spiritual Journey

1. You're a Victim
Initially, everyone feels powerless. Most
stay that way. Others are fortunate enough
to overcome this feeling. In this stage you
feel like the world is out to get you and that
you are the effect of the rest of the world's
cause.
2. You're in Control
At some point in time you begin to realize
your potential. You realize how much you
are capable of doing. It is at this stage
where you decide to take action and reach
your goals.
3. You're Awakening
At some point in stage two, you will realize
your limitations. Amidst all your new found
power and glory, you can only go so far.
This is when you begin to let go and trust in
a higher power. At this stage you no longer
continue to rely on your strengths alone.
You begin to seek assistance from the
Divine and listen for inspiration.
Hopefully, with the help of the Divine, we all
reach the third stage of the journey.
May we all find peace beyond all
understanding.

Ho'oponopono is a process, a journey of

spiritual awakening. Similar to any journey,
spiritual awakening comes in stages.
There are three stages to spiritual
awakening:
