Is There Life on Mars?

Perhaps we are not the only ones living in our universe. What if other organisms are
living with us on a different planet? Maybe there is life somewhere else. For
centuries, scientist have always questioned the possibility of there being life on
other planets. In the 90s NASA has launched a series of missions with the objective
of finding water on Mars. But they actually found ice hidden beneath the rocks
surface is ice. Water is indeed the main ingredient necessary to harbor life. Every
living organisms needs water to survive. It is so important in the proper functioning
of our bodies (its a good thing that JAC has so many water fountains). Theoretically,
life first appeared in water. So NASA finding water on Mars is indeed a huge
discovery. However, it is running water that is able to harbor and support life.
Recently, NASA discovered salt on Mars. Why is salt important you may ask. Salt
can melt ice. Therefore the ice on Mars that was once stranded underneath the
rocks surface can be melted and produce running water which can possibly harbor
life forms. Before we get ahead of ourselves, we need to consider the fact that Mars
is a planet with harsh climates. Temperatures can go from -60 degrees Celsius to
125 degrees Celsius and there is also much radiation on mars. The radiation on
Mars is very difficult to shield against, it is extremely strong and penetrable. Such
factors could discourage the possibility of life. Even if life did exist on Mars, such a
life form would be able to theoretically withstand all the harsh conditions of Mars.
This means organisms that could withstand such intense radiation and extreme
temperature changes and weather conditions. Finding life on Mars could perhaps
start a war of the worlds and we need to know what were dealing with. The
question of Life on Mars has been an issue humanity has been trying to find the
answer to for centuries. It would be unlikely but not impossible that life would
actually exist on Mars.
Another theory that concerns the idea of the possibility of life on Mars is one that
states that there was once life on Mars but it ended due to a nuclear war. This
theory is supported by the fact that Mars contains lots nuclear debris and the
geological shape of the ground supports the fact that explosions took place. The
large concentration of certain radioactive isotopes support this idea. After all, we
are literally just a speck of dust in the universe, maybe we are not alone.
