Setting Up MPLABX and the XC8 Compiler

Step 1. Go to www.microchip.com/mplabx/

Step 2. Scroll down. Click Downloads.

Step 3. Select the application suitable for your machine.

Step 4. Wait for download to complete.

Step 5. Go through the installation processclicking Next.

STEP 6. I accept the agreement. Next.

STEP 12. Download the MPLAB XC compiler.

Step 13. Scroll down. Click Downloads.

STEP 14. Select the XC8 compiler suitable for your machine.

Step 15. Wait for download to complete.

Then start the installation.
