Uttar Pradesh is India`s most populous state with 199,581,477 as per the 2011 census.

This means a population density of 828 persons per km i.e. 2,146 per sq. mi. The
Census of India 1991 found that the state with the lowest illiteracy rate was Kerala on
the southern tip of India, with only 10% of its population illiterate. The states with the
highest illiteracy rates in all India were Bihar with 61% and UP with 58%. As of 2011
census illiteracy in UP was still 56.27% with females 43% illiterate.

In 2011 school facilities and teacher effort were studied across five states of India
including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. 26% of schools did not have a blackboard in
every classroom, 52% had no playground, 59% no drinking water, 89% no toilet,
59% no maps or charts, 75% no toys, 77% no library and 85% no musical
instruments.
Thus the need for proper education and educational facilities is especially acute
in the Gangetic Plain area of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Especially a school whose
primary purpose is to provide the most destitute children a chance to obtain a
good education is urgently needed.
It is just such a facility, strategically located in Uttar Pradesh near the Bihar
border that we hereby propose.
