Homework Due Next Block: In Journals write a literary analysis of Seuss The Butter

Battle Books.
Prompt: One of our essential questions this unit is: How do the media and literature
shape our view of the world and ourselves? For this response focus on The Butter Battle
Book as an allegory. How did this particular piece of literature, and the fact that it is an
allegory shape /challenge/change your view of the world?

allegory?

6. Finally, think: what do you want to say? How did BBB make shape your thinking
about ____________ (subject of the story).

Revise. In revising- sentence combine by deleting sentences and adding phrases
instead (phrases within sentences). Use and label one appositive one verbal and
one prepositional phrase. Label these. Also for verbals: create and label: a gerund,
an infinitive, and a participial phrase
