1. Transfer 20cm3 of 0.5 moldm-3 hydrogen peroxide into a beaker using a

pipette.
2. Then, transfer 10cm3 of the 0.5 moldm-3 hydrogen peroxide in the beaker into
another beaker using a pipette as seen above. 10cm3 of distilled water should
then be added into the beaker to form a hydrogen peroxide solution of 0.5
moldm-3.
3. Repeat Step 2 is consecutively until a hydrogen peroxide concentration of
0.0031075 moldm-3 is achieved.
Iodine Clock Reaction:
1. Label 3 test tubes A, B and C.
2. Using a pipette, transfer 2cm3 of potassium iodide solution into test tube A.
3. Using pipette, transfer 2cm3 of 0.5 moldm-3 hydrogen peroxide solution into
test tube B.
4. Add 5 drops of sulfuric acid to test tube B to acidify the hydrogen peroxide.
5. using a pipette, add 1cm3 of sodium thiosulphate solution into test tube C.
6. Add solutions from test tubes A and C into conical flask.
7. Put 5 drops of starch solution into the conical flask and swirl lightly.
8. Insert the contents of test tube B into the conical flask and start the stopwatch
immediately. Swirl once.
9. When the blue-black starch colour is formed, stop the stopwatch.

10. The time taken for the blue-black starch colour to form should be recorded in
a table.
11. Repeat steps 1 to 10 until results are repeatable.
12. Repeat steps 1 to 11 for the remaining hydrogen peroxide concentrations.

General depiction of what the two table/graphs should look like:
