GEM is an innovative enterprise, situated in Southern Germany,

where inventiveness, intensive work on a vision and the untiring
will to find optimum solutions for customer needs enjoy a rich
tradition.
Out of this place comes "a world of valves". The GEM parent
company at Criesbach is not just a production facility
but a place where product ideas are conceived and designed,
followed by intensive development work in the company's
laboratories and test facilities, right through to prototypes ready
to go into production.

The idea of "GEM" was born in 1964.

As a student Fritz Mller already had the desire to create
something new and of his own.
His parents' house became the place where he formulated
these ideas.
lt was a time full of enthusiasm and creative energy its success was then almost automatic.

When the first valve was produced he

succeeded, so to speak, in "reinventing
the wheel".
lt surpassed all other valves due to its
ingenious design and the use of new
materials. In this way and since then,
entirely new paths were pursued,
opening up new opportunities and
possibilites for the design and production
of GEM products.

LETS FORGET ABOUT BORDERS!

Now, at the beginning of the new millenium, borders are

increasingly losing their importance.
Not only is Europe getting ready to become a more unified
'whole' but the world is also continuously getting smaller as
boundaries are removed.
Our market is the world. For an enterprise which is always first
to do something new, being a "global player" is a major business
policy.
At present, the GEM group comprises thirteen sales
subsidiaries and five production facilities worldwide.
Our sales subsidiaries abroad as well as our trained and
experienced specialised representatives guarantee our
customers top service at their doorstep.
Competent advice, for which we are renowned, is always
available locally.

Language barriers are no obstacle for us.

Language courses and seminars with international educational
subjects take place continuously each year and help to enhance
our global communication capabilities.

GEM's business is built upon a solid foundation.

of energy supply, environmental process, the chemical industry,

GEM clearly believes: "Young people are our

future!" These young people also need visions in
order to be able to establish goals and values.
These visions, of course, are often different from
those of long-standing employees moulded by their

For this reason, we are strongly committed to the
training of young people. GEM lectures at universities in order to impart our expertise in the field of
valves, measurement and control systems.
