Objective: Using the Spotted Salamanders, for example, students will


research how the successful generations have shifted within the
species under Mendels Law. Also, how changes in DNA can alter a new
appearance.
Objective: Students will generate a clear lab report based on scientific
investigation of biological inheritance in the Spotted Salamanders.

Description of Assessment
Assessment Plan:

At the end of the unit, students will have a short answer quiz based on
Mendels Law and how changes in the DNA can alter appearance.
Rubric for the lab report assessment.
