I am writing this letter at the request of Claire Saavedra to give her my full

recommendation. As her zoology teacher at Cottonwood High School I have worked

closely with Claire and can acknowledge her hard work ethic, motivation, and
compassion. Claire demonstrates these characteristics on a daily and consistent
basis in my class, qualifying her for my highest recommendation.
Zoology is one of the more difficult biology courses at Cottonwood due to selfmotivated performance. Students who wish to perform well and receive a top grade
are expected to study independently and effectively. Claire has demonstrated her
hard work ethics as one of the top performers in her class. Her test scores are
always superb, reflecting her efforts and dedication outside of class. The same can
be said about her behavior in class. Claire strives to be accepted into the best
universities and has laid the foundation for such success. As an ESL student, Claire
has worked hard to master English, not allowing excuses to hold her back.
Claire feels the eagerness and satisfaction of emphasizing her academics in her life
as she strongly feels that its paying off, both in providing a successful future as well
as the current scope of becoming a better individual and citizen. While attending my
class at Cottonwood High School, Claire is enrolled as a student at AMES where
strong academic success is emphasized. Claire recognizes the importance of
extrinsic and intrinsic motivation. She is consistently trying to better herself in
multiple facets of life, including individual achievement, sports, music, art, and
academics. Her self-motivation is evident in her well-rounded personality. Over the
past years Claire has participated in soccer, piano, personal service, and is currently
attempting to learn multiple languages such as Chinese and Italian.
Her greatest strength of all, which drives her passion for success, is Claires
compassion for all those around her. Claire is sweet, caring, positive, and outgoing;
placing great concern for the welfare of those around. This is evident in how she has
helped her peers in class better study, comprehend, and master the concepts of
biology. Claire as logged in over 64 hours as a volunteer at an animal shelter, one
day desiring to own an off lease animal shelter of her own. The future success of her
business will be a testament to the quality of work and compassion she has for
animals.
Claire is qualified for the tasks ahead of her. I am therefore very pleased to be able
to recommend Claire Saavedra with my full recommendation. The success that she
is building will take her far as she will provide the greatest efforts for your
