This was where the majority of data in regards to the current state of education was coming from.
This was used for establishing background in the form of understanding the true extent of what
odds are against undocumented students for attending school. This source is a featured article.

This piece is the testimony in support of the DREAM Act spoken by Secretary Arne Duncan to
the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration. This describes the benefits and clarifies the purpose of
passing the DREAM Act on a national level. This is important to our project because it is
legislation that also wants undocumented students to have access to funding in order to attend
colleges and universities. This is a document featured on the United States Department of
Educations website.

This piece by Julia Glum is the findings of a similar initiative started by Loyola University
Chicago, creating a fund based on increases in student fees and scholarships made in response.

This is important and/or useful to our project because it lays the groundwork for our project due
to the fact that we believe it is the only existing, successful example of something similar. This is
a featured article from the International Business Times.

This piece is a local radio broadcasters take on the City of Seattles efforts to address the issue
of undocumented individuals, particularly children. This directly relates to not only the
demographic our project focuses on, children, but it also on our geographic area. This source is a
reputable news article that is focused in the Pacific Northwest.

This piece is meant to solidify the uncertainty that is associated with being an undocumented

because of how much it aligned with this groups hopes for the impact our project would have on

This piece by Marla Sanders shows specifically the challenges that are associated with the tuition
debate for in-state universities. This is useful because as a group some of the issues are
