Propaganda Poster Assignment

25 points ~ Due: Tuesday, February 16th in class

Many countries involved in WWI used propaganda to help mobilize its countries people into action. These
propaganda pieces were seen in literature, film, and posters. Specifically, propaganda posters utilized a variety of
propaganda techniques to get its message across.
Your job is to create a propaganda poster that utilize two of the techniques we learned in class (techniques have
been emailed to you) to mobilize people to action. Your propaganda poster can be about anything (past or modern
day), but remember you are trying to get a message across that either helps or hurts a specific group, person, or
organization. This means you do not just create an advertisement for tennis shoes. You are using propaganda
techniques to get a message across to your audience to get them to take action.
