With the advent and triumph of ICT Revolution, political attitudes of citizens are now largely
influenced and shaped by the mass media and contents in the World Wide Web. Internet, through
social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube, provides a new platform for political
participation, specifically protest. Citizens, now transformed as netizens, engage in political
processes by aggregating their demands for civil, political, and social rights in the virtual world.
Posts, likes, tweets, and shares, which are political in nature, wield a powerful force or pressure
that cannot be merely disregarded by the state.
