important to be able to see the type of animals that they would hunt during that time

This is a photograph of a bison which represents one of the thing discovered by
Marquette and Joliet.

Joliet went on his expedition with Marquette, and in this source, Joliet wrote a letter on
his travels to Monsignor de Laval. This helped us learn more about Joliet and his feelings,
and also helped show the purpose of their trip. In addition it helped us figure out their
motives to go on the exploration.
This is an image of a Kaskaskia Indian, and is used as a link from our natives page to our
Kaskaskia and Mascouten Indians page. It helped us visualise what the Kaskaskia indians
looked like.

When Marquette and Joliet were on their travels, they kept journals of what they found.
This is Marquettes journal from when he was traveling. This gave us insight on what
Marquette and Joliet went through, and helped us in getting into the mindset of the
project.

where he lived and his lifes journeys. We used some of this information in our website,

This is a short summary of their expedition, and the discoveries they made. It included
the Native tribes they met and how they helped Marquette and Joliet along their
expedition. We used some of this information in our website, specifically in the
discoveries and about the native americans.
