300 Diseases no more

Imagine a tree in your backyard that can satisfy all your nutritional and
medicinal needs. Its like having a pharmacy with a Moringa Tree.
In spite of the wealth that most of us relish today, there are still
millions of people on Earth, who live day to day always worrying what they will eat.
Due to its richness and nourishing elements Moringa also known as the Miracle
Tree caught much attention for its ability to provide almost all the nutrients that
can be obtained in the food pyramid. In fact, because of the 96 nutrients and over
46 antioxidant that it contains, Moringa Oliefera topped among the 120 food species
tested by the World Vegetable Center in terms of nutrient value. And because of
this, the Miracle tree is now cultivated in some remote areas to fight poverty and
hunger.
As a matter of fact, Green Earth Heritage Foundation located in Sibul,
San Miguel, Bulacan aims to increase the exposure, cultivation and the use of
Moringa commonly known as malunggay. Growing 10,000 trees in their
Malunggay plantation makes them the only Moringa Organic Certified Farm in the
Philippines. And with their further research they come up with their flagship product
the Moringa Tea.
According to Aileen T. Deocampo, the Site Administrator and Farm
manager of the Green Earth, they saw that Moringa Tea will become viable because
it contains 10x more vitamin A than carrots, 17x more Calcium than milk, 15x more
potassium than banana, 25x the iron of spinach, 9x the protein of yogurt, 4x the
chlorophyll of wheatgrass and 8x the polyphenols of red wine.
The Miracle tree also contributes to the world of medicine as it bested
the renowned anti-cancer Acai Berry by over a 50 % margin and serves as a natural
cure for over 300 diseases such as cancer, diabetes, ulcer, asthma and etc.
Aside from that, this Moringa Tea not only gives health but also wealth
to the resident farmers who previously done kaingin for their living. The foundation
plans to alleviate poverty by giving them livelihood programs through sustainable
and organic agriculture.
