2015MTSSCoordinatorforourregion,etc.).Atothertimes,Iamusingtheexpertiseofthe
InstructionalCoachestogivethemtraining/information.DuringJune2015.thecoachesprepareda
halfdayoftraininginEOLs,theroleofaninstructionalcoach,InstructionalUseofTime,etc.Aswe
moveforward,wewillbeprovidingPDforadministratorsonmathematicsinstructionsothatthey
knowwhattolookfor.
AllPrincipalsOctoberPrincipal/APInstituteObserveinclassroomstohelpthemwithinter
raterreliabilityandbestpractices/whatdotheylooklike?
Teachers
FLAVORsessions(FocusedLearningAligningVerticallythroughOwnershipandReflection)Provide
eachelementaryteacherwith3halfdaysofPDwithgradelevelpeers(September,October,and
December)
SeptembermClass/Reading3DK3teachersHowtogroupstudents,readdata,scorewritten
responsetotext.45teachershowtoscorewrittenresponsetotextandwritinginstruction.
OctoberK2teacherswillhaveasessiononWriters'Workshop.35teacherswilldelveintothe
dataofEOLstoguideinstruction.
DecemberWehavenotmadeadecisionaboutDecember.Weareusingourtimeingradelevel
meetings,etc.andwillplanoncewehaveenoughdatatodetermineneed.
MiniFLAVORsessionsOncepermonthafterschool,teacherleaderswilllead45minutesessions
onwhatisworkingintheirclassroomsex.Daily5,NumberWorlds,ProblemSolving,etc.These
areoptional.
GradeLevelsandinclassroomsThebestPDisjobembedded,therefore,theInstructional
Coachesareleadinggradelevelmeetingstwiceamonthateachschool,ineachgradelevel
providingavarietyofPD.Theyalsoaremodelinglessons,coteaching,etc.inclassroomswith
teacherstoimproveinstruction.
