Proposed Exercises to Overcome Difficulties in Playing Oud Instrument

for Beginner Students in Music Department/ Yarmouk University

Abstract
Occupy Oud the forefront among the
Arab musical instruments since ancient times,
its methods of playing on Oud was developed
during the twentieth century, which led to the
appearance of new technologies in the way of
performance, it was covered by most of the
musical modern schools on Oud, and There is
no doubt that the West was the first in putting
educational curricula for teaching various
musical instruments modes, has a number of
interested in coming up with a new curriculum
for teaching this instrument in the Arab
world, but it was difficult to apply in the Arab
country, because of the difference in
capabilities between learners. Due to the lack
of a clear methodology for teaching beginners
students playing the Oud in the Department of
Music / Yarmouk University, this study came
in order to identify the difficulties faced by
beginner students in playing the Oud, and the
development of exercises proposed to
overcome these difficulties with these
students.
