I chose this artifact to show:
__x__ growth in this standard _____ strength and competency in this standard Evidence to support attainment of this standard: Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard: It is very important to collaborate with students, families, colleagues, and communities to enhance student learning. One example of my collaboration with a colleague involves my mentor teacher. My mentor teacher and I meet once every eight days to discuss teaching strategies, classroom management, district tests, and reflection. This artifact is the log of our time and topic when we meet for our meetings. Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better) It has been a wonderful experience to work and reflect with my mentor. During the past two years, my mentor provided me with insight about our district, applying for a teaching license, valuable resources for all types of learners, and much more. I was able to grow as a new teacher to learn more strategies including a Brain Break chart, math manipulatives for multiplication and division, comments to include on progress reports, verbal cues for attention grabbers, and how to deal with behaviors from students. It has been such a great bond that we have created, and I hope to continue to it throughout the next school year.
