(Opening) Co-Chair: We call this meeting to order! (Committee comes to order)

Co-Chair: This committee of the 1st session of the International Indigenous Student Leadership
Summit is now in order. (States topic) The topic before us is of great concern
(Roll Call) Co-Chair: Delegates, please maintain decorum during roll call. When you are called
please raise your placard/hand and say you are present. (Co-Chair will call up to 3 times and if
present, will say [your name] is present. If you do not answer, the Co-Chair will state [your
name] is not present.
(Opening of speakers list) Co-Chair: Are there any points or motions. (Co-Chair will always
ask after every procedure).
Anahuacalmecac delegate: (Having placard/hand raised)
Co-Chair: The Chair recognizes the delegate from Anahuacalmecac.
Anahuacalmecac delegate: I move to motion to open the speakers list.
Co-Chair: That motion is in order. There is a motion on the floor to open the speakers list. Is
there any points or motions? (Co-Chair needs to ask) If no, Co-Chair will entertain the motion by
the delegate from Anahuacalmecac to open the speakers list.
(Being added to speakers list) Co-Chair: At this moment, we will be adding delegates to the
speakers list. Please raise your placard/hand if you wish to be added to the speakers list. Once a
sufficient number of delegates are added to the speakers list, the Co-Chair should state: At this
moment we will not be adding speakers to the list, if you wish to be added please send a note.
Once the delegate has spoken, you can be put back on the speakers list. You must speak first
before asking to be added again.
(Setting of speaker time) Co-Chair: Are there any points or motions. (Again, Co-Chair must
always ask after every procedure)
Delegate #2: (Having placard/hand raised)
Co-Chair: The Co-Chair recognizes delegate #2.
Delegate from Anahuacalmecac: Delegate #2 moves to motion to set the speakers time at 2
minutes.

Co-Chair: That motion is in order. There is a motion on the floor to set the speakers time at 2
minutes. Is there any points or motions? (Co-Chair needs to ask) If not, the Co-Chair will now
entertain the motion by delegate #2 to set the speakers time at 2 minutes. All those in favor
please raise your placard/hand (delegates vote); all those opposed (delegates vote); this motion
clearly passes or this motion clearly fails.
(In Session): Co-Chair: Is there any points or motions. (Chairs will always ask after every
procedure) Seeing none, the Chairs recognizes Delegate from Anahuacalmecac for 2 minutes.
Delegate from Anahuacalmecac: Honorable Chair, fellow Delegates and distinguished guests, the

Co-Chair: Thank you Delegate. Is there any points or motions. (Chairs will always ask after
every procedure) Seeing none, the Chair now recognizes Anahuacalmecac Delegate #3, you
have 2 minutes.

Delegate from Anahuacalmecac #2: It is my belief that I was next to speak
Co-Chair: That point is order, we sincerely apologize; the chair now recognizes Delegate from

Delegate from Anahuacalmecac #2: Fellow delegates, distinguished guests, it is with deep regret

Delegate from Anahuacalmecac #3 (Raises Hand)
Co-Chair: The Chair recognizes the delegate.
Delegate from Anahuacalmecac #3: I move to motion to suspend the meeting for the purpose of
a 30-minute caucus.
Co-Chair: That motion is in order. Are there any other motions on the floor?
Delegate from Anahuacalmecac #4: I motions for the suspension or the meeting for a period for
25 minutes?
Co-Chair: That motion is in order: Are there any other motions on the floor?

Delegate from Anahuacalmecac #5: I motion to set the speakers time at 3 minutes because we
feel more time is needed to present vital information that will allow us to explore the best
options.
Co-Chair: Is there any points or motions? (No other motions) There is 3 motions on the floor. We
will entertain them as we received them. The first motion moves to suspend the meeting for a 30minute caucus. (Entertain if more) All those in favour please raise your hand (Delegate vote); all
those opposed (Delegate vote).
