Installation site requirements

Planning the Installation

Installation site requirements

The installation area (floor or fixed base) must be horizontal. Any differences in floor
height in the installation area must be leveled out with rustproof shims, for example. This
is not part of the installation procedure, but must be done by a contractor.
When choosing the installation site, make sure that
bright ceiling light, light reflections and direct sunlight shining on the screen are
avoided,
the requirements concerning ambient conditions can be met (see chapter "Appendix",
section "Technical data"),
existing underfloor heating, energy and/or communication cables, etc., are not
damaged when drilling the mounting holes.
If necessary, appropriate arrangements must be made.

Load carrying capacity

Ensure that the installation site has the required load-carrying capacity. You will find the
relevant device weight in the section "Installation specifications" in the chapter "Appendix".

Protection from removal by force in compliance with EN and VdS

guidelines
In accordance with the applicable guidelines VdS 2527, VdS 2527-S1, EN 1143-1
and EN 1143 - 1 prAl safe and installation frame or rack form a unit.
For this reason CEN safes may only be mounted with the certified and approved
installation frames or installation racks.
The device must be screwed to the load-bearing substructure of the installation site or
mounted on a suitable base.
Using the prescribed mounting materials, the following values relating to resistance to
removal of the safe from the installation frame are reached:
Resistance level
III
IV, V

Minimum force required

50 kN
100 kN

The operator must provide a suitable base to protect it from removal by force. We
recommend reinforced concrete B35 (EN206 C30/37) or a higher-quality concrete.

Installation frame 25 mm (0.98")

Planning the Installation

Installation frame 25 mm (0.98")

General
The 25 mm (0.98") installation frame has to be used if you want to install the ProCash
2050xe with 4-cassette dispenser on a base (provided by customer) or if you want to
install the ProCash 2050xe with 6-cassette dispenser on the floor.
The installation frame can be either a standard installation frame or a CEN frame
(identified by the 'CEN' sticker).
The installation frame is secured to the base at the attachment points (see sections
"Drilling diagram for 25 mm (0.98") installation frame"). Then the device is screwed to the
installation frame.
Openings which are not used have to be closed by putting in the filling pieces.
For mounting material see section "Mounting sets" in the chapter "Installation".

Securing the installation frames

How the installation frame is secured depends on the resistance level (UL, CEN III or
CEN IV/V) of the safe. The label showing the resistance level is located on the inside of
the safe door.
For a safe with resistance level III (CEN III) and UL, it is mandatory to secure the
installation frame at the positions marked 2 with four screws.
Positions 3 serve as alternative attachment points (see next illustrations).
For a safe with resistance level IV/V (CEN IV/V), it is mandatory to secure the CEN frame
to the positions marked 2 and 3 with eight screws (see next illustrations).

Height-adjustable installation rack

Planning the Installation

Finding the required installation rack

Three different installation racks are available to compensate any existing height
difference between the floor outside and inside.

Use the following formula to determine the required rack height (see also illustration in
the section "Installation options 4-cassette dispenser"):
Xheight = Xwall 648 mm (25.51")

Compare the result with the values in the first column of the following table. The
required rack height Xrack is listed in the right column.
Adjustable height Xheight
from 130 mm (5.12") to 190 mm (7.48")
from 190 mm (7.48") to 320 mm (12.6")
from 310 mm (12.2") to 530 mm (20.87")

Tear-off sensor

Tear-off sensor
All safes, installation frames and installation racks have holes for mounting a tearoff sensor.

To ensure that the tear-off sensor can be mounted after the device has been installed, a
hole for the tear-off sensor has to be drilled at the time the installation frame or the
installation rack is mounted.
To be able to mount the tear-off sensor, the hole has to be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner
and an anchor bolt (e.g. UPAT multicone, Fischer resin cartridge R M) has to be inserted.
Thus the alarm technician will be able to mount the tear-off sensor in the safe easily after
the device is installed (see also illustration "Mounting structure with CEN III, CEN IV / V
safe" or "Mounting structure with UL safe" in the corresponding sections of the chapter
"Installation").
Ask your alarm technician about the size of the hole and the cartridge. The mounting
material (threaded rod, cartridge) is to be provided by the alarm technician. The length of
the threaded rod depends on the installation frame or the installation rack you use (see
chapter "Installation").

Drilling diagrams
The following figures specify the distance from the edge of the device (safe) of the drill
holes that are used to secure ProCash 2050xe to the installation frame or installation rack.

Power and data cables

Planning the Installation

Power and data cables

General information
When the cables enter the device from below, make sure that the cables cannot
be sheared off when the system is moved.
To connect the device, power and data cables are required. In standard deliveries, the
connections for all the device's power and data cables are situated near the cable feed
opening of the safe. The additional power cable that is provided has a standard length of
2.5 m (8.2 ft). Other ready-to-use lengths of power and data cables can be ordered if
needed via the hardware configurator or must be provided by the customer. Please refer
to the corresponding illustrations in this guide for the positioning of the cables.
To lay the cables inside the installation frame or rack and in the safe, filling pieces may be
removed so that cable sets can be inserted in the cable feed openings (see drawing).
These filling pieces must then be replaced after the cables have been installed. The cable
exit points in the floor must be kept clear to ensure that the cables are not bent or
damaged.
Make sure that the cables provided on-site are long enough to be laid through the
installation frame or through the installation rack into the safe.

You will also find details of the position of cable routing for the device in the
sections "Installation frame 25 mm (0.98")" or "Installation frame 222 mm (8.74")"
or "Height-adjustable installation rack".

Environmental protection

Environmental protection
Environmentally friendly product design and development
This product has been designed according to our corporate standard 'Environmentally
friendly product design and development'.
This means that crucial criteria such as long life, choice of material and its labeling,
emissions, packaging, ease of disassembly and recyclability have been taken into
account. This saves resources and relieves the strain on the environment.

Saving energy
Please switch on devices that need not be constantly running only when they are actually
needed. They should also be turned off when they are not needed for longer periods of
time.

Disposing of used consumables

Please dispose of printer consumables, batteries, fluorescent tubes and cleaning and
maintenance materials according to national regulations (where relevant complying with
vendor specifications).

Labels on plastic case parts

Please do not stick any labels on plastic case parts since that would make recycling more
difficult.
