1. STRESS DEFINED:

 IS A PERSONAL ADAPTIVE RESPONSE TO STIMULUS


THAT PLACES EXCESSIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL OR PHYSICAL
DEMANDS ON THAT PERSON.
2. THE NATURE OF STRESS :
A. STRESS IS OFTEN COMPLEX AND AFFECTS A LARGE
SECTOR OF PEOPLE ACROSS THE WORLD.

CAN LEAD TO LONG-TERM DAMAGE.

3. THE STRESS PROCESS :
A. STRESS CAN BE CLASSIFIED INTO TWO MAJOR TYPES:

1.EUSTRESS (GOOD STRESS) IE. AN EVENT THAT LEADS


TO PLEASURABLE OUTCOMES.
2.DISTRESS (BAD STRESS) IE. AN EVENT THAT LEADS TO
UNDESIRABLE OUTCOMES.

F. IN BOTH CASES THERE ARE THREE DIFFERENT STAGES


IN THE STRESS PROCESS.

H. IN THE FIRST STAGE THE PERSON ENCOUNTER A


STRESSOR WICH TRIGGER A CERTAIN ALRM WITH THE
PERSON .
EXAMPLE: ANNOUNCING A DEADLINE OF A PROJECT.

K. THE PERSON STARTS TO ACT IN SUCH A WAY TO RESIST


THE STRESSORS. EXAMPLE: IGNORING THE TASK ,
SPENDING THE TIME DOING NORMAL ACTIVITIES ( WITHIN
THE CONFERT ZONE ).

M. THE LAST STAGE IS CALLED EXHUSTION WHERE THE


LEVEL OF THE STRESS PEAKS AND PERSON MAY FIND IT
DIFFICULT TO CONTINUE. [ HELP IS NEEDED ]

AS DEATH, DEVORCE AND NATURAL DISASTER.

SITUATION; TOO MANY LIFE CHANGES

EXAMPLE: SMOKEING, ALCOHOL AND DRUG.

 PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSEQUENCES:RELATE TO
PERSON MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING.FOR
EXAMPLE: SLEEPING TOO MUCH OR NOT ENOUGH ,
LEAD TO FAMILY PROBLEM AND SEXUAL
DIFFICULTIES.

 MEDICAL CONSEQUENCES: AFFECT A PERSON


PHYSICAL WELL –BEING. FOR EXAMPLE: HEART
DISEASE AND STROK, HEADACHES ,BACKCHES
AND RELATED STOMACH AND INTESTINAL
DISORDERS.

CONSEQUENCES
 STRESS CAN AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE LEAD TO
POOR QUALITY,MISTAKES AND LESS
CONCENTRATION.

 WITHDRAWAL: CAN FORCE THE PERSON TO


BECOME ISOLATED AND AVOID THE PROBLEM
.BEING ABSENT OR FINDING UNREALISTIC
RESONS. FOR EXAMPLE: BAD BOSS AND LOW
SALARY.

 ATITUDE: THE FIRST SIGN OF STRESS IS LINKED TO


ATITUDE WHERE PEOPLE BOCOME VERY
DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH.
BURNOUT
 BURNOUT: THE LAST STAGE OF STRESS WHERE
THERE ARE MANY STRESSORS AND LITTLE
SATISFACTION, PEOPLE HERE BECOME ADDICTIVE
TO BAD HABITS.
8. METHODS OF DEALING
WITH STRESS:
1. SOME PEOPLE THEY LIKE TO EXERCISE WHICH
MAKES THEM FIT AND INCREASE THEIR ENERGY. IE.
THE INDUSTRY OF WORKING-OUT INCREASED BY

2. SOME PEOPLE LIKE TO USE RELAXATION METHODS
