Introduction

College Management System is

software which is helpful for students as well as the
college authorities. Our CMS stores the records of
teachers and students. The main principle behind the
need of College Management System is easy
supervision of Institute. This software can help us to
explore all the activities happening inside the college.
It can handle the details of students,teachers,class
details, subject details and fees details.
In this system, only teacher or operator can
view the details of students and teachers.

Objectives
The main objective of this system, is to reduce the
consumption of time during maintaining the records of
college management. Separate divisions are provide to
maintain the records of teachers,students,subjects and
fees details.
In other words, our CMS has, following objectives :
Simple database is maintained.
Easy operations for the operator of the system.
User interfaces are user friendly and attractive, it
takes very less time for the operator to get use-to with
the system.

Scope
This is generic type of software, suitable for all
colleges.CMS has separate divisions to handle the
college transactions. Separate division is provided to
maintain Students records, Teachers Records, and Fees
Records.

Vb.Net

.NET is a framework. means simply it is a collection of

large library to solve different programming needs when
a programmer wants to write a software. A library is not
of books but of small different collection of code .
Vb.net is a Visual Basic in .NET framework. means one
who knows Visual Basic then VB.NET is an extension
of Visual Basic.

Why we use vb.net ??

It is an object oriented programming language. it
contains a systematic collection of classes and objects.
Visual Basic .NET comes with thousands of built-in
classes which are ready to be used.
So it is easier to write in VB.net then Visual Basic. once
we have learn how to use .net framework.

MS-Access
Microsoft Access is a part of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Microsoft Office Access, previously known as Microsoft
Access, is a database management system from Microsoft
that combines the relational Microsoft Jet Database Engine
with a graphical user interface.

Access is made up of ??
The Microsoft Access database is made up of 7
components:
Tables;
Relationships;
Queries;
Forms;
Reports;
Macros;
Modules

Definition Of Problem
Today all the work at the time of admission of the
students is done manually by ink and paper, which is
very slow and consuming much efforts and time.
Since the numbers of students is growing, and
management has to handle records of all the students, it
is facing a little bit problems in maintaining the records
of students.
It is required to Design of a Computerized College
Management System, to speed up and make it easy to
use system.

Proposed System
In our proposed system we have the provision for adding the
details of the students. Another advantage of the system is that it
is very easy to edit the details of the student and delete a student
when it found unnecessary. Here is no facility of net connection,
email facility is also not provided. Online Admissions is not
possible.
By developing the system, we can attain the following facilities:
Easy to handle and feasible.
Easy to operate.
Cost reduction.
Fast and convenient.

Get Started CMS supports following softwares: MS-Access (2007) data or records store in
database.
VB.NET (2008) user-friendly interfaces are
designed using vb.net.
Windows XP (Service Pack 2) etc CMS is
platform independent and can easily run on Windows
XP (Service Pack 2).

Welcome
When you run your application, the Front (splash) Form will
appear. It loads all your forms. After the disappearance of
Front Form, Login Form appears.

Login
The Login Form will verify whether the user trying to access
the software is valid or not. Here the user will asked to give Username
Password
If and only if user enters the correct username and password,
he will be allowed to proceed further with the software. After
this form disappears the Master form will appear.

Conclusion

It was a wonderful and learning experience for me while

working on this project. This project took me through the
various phases of project development and gave me real
insight into the world of software engineering.The joy of
working and the thrill involved while tackling the various
problems and challenges gave me a feel of developers
industry.
It was due to this project I came to know how professional
softwares are designed.
I enjoyed each and every bit of work I had put into this
project. The project is further extendable.
