A Curriculum and Planning indicator: Knows the subject matter well. A block plan unit outcome: passes the Fitnessgram testing in Flexibility and strength with 80% or more success rate, throughout the entire class. In the Lesson Plan outcomes, all of the SPOs have specific goals and objectives.

Assessment__________________________ INDICATOR ____1a____: Curriculum and Planning indicator: Knows the subject matter well, has a good grasp of child development and how students learn, and designs effective and rigorous standards-based units of instruction consisting of well-structured lessons with measurable outcomes.________________________________________________________ EVIDENCE: (two) 1. Lesson Plan #1 (2/1/16): (P) Demonstrate 3 different types of dribbles by the end of the lesson. (National #: S1.H1.L1; MA CF #: 2.17; Activity: Entire Lesson) (C) Utilizes correct Basketball terminology by answering questions at closure. (National # S2.H1.L1; MA CF: 2.17, Activity: Closure) (A) Understands the rules and regulations and properly abides by them 100% of the time during the entirety of the modified game. (National #: S4.H2.L2; MA CF #: 2.26; Activity: Modified game) 2. Block Plan Unit Outcomes: (Psychomotor): Pass the Fitnessgram testing in Flexibility and strength with 80% or more success rate, throughout the entire class. (National#: S1.H3.L2, MA CF#: 2.20, Task/Activity#: Entire Unit) (Cognitive): Explain what target heart rate is and be able to calculate how they are to find their target heart rate, and resting heart rates, as goes along with the intensity of a workout. (National#: S3.H9.L1, MA CF#: 2.21, Task/Activity#: Entire Unit) (Affective): Write a journal about how working out and being physically active can have such a positive experience on an individual's life, and all of the benefits one can get from being physically active. (National#: S3.H11.L1, MA CF#: 2.24, Task/Activity#: Entire Unit)
DISCUSSION: (justify how each piece of evidence supported the
standard) 1. In the lesson plan outcomes, all of the SPOs have specific goals and they relate to each domain, cognitive, affective and psychomotor. These support Standard 1a because the SPOs relate to the subject matter, and are developmentally appropriate for the students skill levels. They were challenging enough for the students to be successful, but were not too easy for them either. 2. The Unit Outcomes for the fitness block plan are supportive of Standard 1a. They support this standard because of the fact that they are all very measureable, and easy to asses. The standards are challenging and match up with the national standards well. So they are good to use to test the students abilities.
