The Florida Center for Reading Research has free resources for
K-5 reading teachers. The materials on this are site easy to
implement into any classroom reading instruction. Once the
games and activities are taught, they can easily be use
independently.

This site has free reading materials for K-6 teachers of Open
Court. They are organized by grade level and unit. The
materials are linked directly to each story from the anthology
from HM/Open Court.

Reading Rockets is a great resource of free articles written to
support reading instruction. This link is directly to a printable

PDF for parents on how to support reading at home. The PDF is


also available in many languages.

This link has free lesson plans and student interactives for grade
K-12. They are written and submitted by teachers for teachers.
Search the site to see if a book or story has a lesson plan you
might use or you could submit your own.

for primary reading. It provides assessment materials, pacing

Differentiated Instruction Sites

This site is written by David Kapuler, an educational consultant.
He has gathered a list of creditable site that can provide

differentiated instruction support for students. He provides links


to each sight so that you can visit each one a make your own
assessment. Most of these sites require a subscription for a fee.

instruction sites. It is organized by title, description, content
area, and the applicable use of each site.

to differentiate instruction. It provides graphic organizers
extensive information to help guide teachers in determining
which students are in the greatest need of intervention.

staff on differentiated instruction. There are several imbedded

Kahoot!

Kahoot is site that teachers can use for free. It is designed as an
interactive site where teachers choose the content and build
quizzes themselves or they use quizzes from the data base that
have been uploaded to share from other teachers. Students need
a device to play (tablet, Ipad, smartphone, laptop). Quizzes can
be designed for pre-assessments, review of content, and team
challenges, the uses are endless. The quizzes are engaging and
fun.

great place to start if you need to incorporate more technology

This is blog site that explains how to integrate technology into


the classroom with ease. There are written explanations, as well
as videos. The site is run by Kelly Tenkely. It is appropriate for
K-12 teachers.

The Smartboard exchange has resources for every content area
and grade level. Lessons are shared on this exchange so that
others can use them in the classroom. Teachers can share their
own lessons on the exchange for others to use. These lessons
are for use with a Smartboard.
