AnapplicantwillfillForm49Aonlineandsubmittheform.
Ifthereareanyerrors,rectifythemandresubmittheform.
Aconfirmationscreenwithallthedatafilledbytheapplicantwillbedisplayed.
Theapplicantmayeithereditorconfirmthesame.
Onconfirmation,anacknowledgementwillbedisplayed.Theacknowledgementwillcontainaunique15digitacknowledgementnumber.
Theapplicantisrequestedtosaveandprintthisacknowledgement.
'Individual'applicantsshouldaffixtworecentcolourphotographswithwhitebackground(size3.5cmx2.5cm)inthespaceprovidedintheacknowledgement.
Thephotographsshouldnotbestapledorclippedtotheacknowledgement.TheclarityofimageonPANcardwilldependonthequalityandclarityof

Signature/LeftThumbImpressionshouldonlybewithintheboxprovidedintheacknowledgement.Thesignatureshouldnotbeonthephotographaffixedon
rightsideoftheform.IncaseofnonindividualPANapplicants,theacknowledgementreceiptshallbesignedbytheauthorizedsignatory(KartaincaseofHUF,
DirectorincaseofCompany,PartnerincaseofPartnershipFirm/LLP,TrusteeincaseofTrustandAuthorizedsignatoryinremainingcategories).The
signatureshouldnotbeonphotograph.Ifthereisanymarkonphotographsuchthatithinderstheclearvisibilityofthefaceoftheapplicant,the
applicationwillnotbeaccepted.
Signature/Lefthandthumbimpressionshouldbeprovidedacrossthephotoaffixedontheleftsideoftheforminsuchamannerthatportionof
signature/impressionisonphotoaswellasonacknowledgement.
Thumbimpression,ifused,shouldbeattestedbyaMagistrateoraNotaryPublicoraGazettedOfficerunderofficialsealandstamp.
