HSUS-NC Wildlife Essay Competition

Guidelines: Students may submit a one- to two-page (typed or handwritten) essay

addressing the importance of wildlife in North Carolina. Students are encouraged to be
creative with this venture: for example, they may choose to write a story that
communicates why it is important to take care of wildlife or may write an essay on a
particular species. Students may receive help to research their entries, but the text should
be their own.
Any student enrolled in a Wake County elementary school may submit an entry, limit of
one entry per student. Each submission should include the students name, grade,
teachers name, and school name, as well as have a copy of the completed release forms
signed by a parent or guardian.
How to Submit: Submissions may be mailed to Cynthia Rosenfeld, 103 Timberlyne Ct.,
Chapel Hill, NC 27514 or emailed to cynthia.porter86@gmail.com.

before April 22, 2016.
