Objectives
The ability to work with children that are at risk and people with

Have led group discussions and group activities
Have interviewed clients, prepared case histories and outlined services
provided by the organization.

Have led PowerPoint presentations on a variety of different topics

Child Care
Assess the impact of witnessing abuse on the child, the group readiness of
the child and the support needs of the abused parent
Conduct individual counseling sessions with the child using techniques such
as active listening, conflict resolution and psycho-education; providing
emotional support
Participate as an active member in the classroom with educational assistant
(EA) experience and teacher on call (TOC) experience
Advocacy
Have been elected with student government by the undergrad population
Have managed at risk youth in the classroom workshop
Have attended Sexual Exploitation and Protecting our youth Prevention
Strategies and Community Coordination (Workshop)
Have worked with inmates both male and female on understanding and
breaking the negative cycle of abuse
Have advocated for people with disabilities on topics of accessibility
