Vandelay Industries was originally bought as a small business founded in
Ely, Nevada, with the name Iniotride from a failing entrepreneur in 2001.
The plummeting industry turned into a major success after the Vandelay
Sisters, Carmen and Leona, re-located, put their heart, skills, and savings
into the company. Vandelay Industries has businesses mainly in the MidAtlantic area, with headquarters located in Washington, DC. Vandelay
Industries is a fashion-technology accessory and clothing business focused
on products such as eyewear, earphones, outerwear, and active wear.
Vandelay Industries is committed to providing customers with the most
fashionable clothing and accessories while at the same time producing the
most futuristic and inventive technology in each clothing unit.

Computers and laptops that meet Vandelay Industries high technology

requirements are essential for both the employees and the managers for
each company. Throughout the report are computers and laptops believed
to be just as high-tech as the technology put in our clothing and
accessories.
The first desktop computer is the 21.5 inch iMac which has 1.4GHz
processor, eight gigabytes of memory, and includes peripheral devices,
such as their wireless magic mouse and Apple keyboard. (Monroe, Configure your iMac,

The second desktop is the LG Chromebase 22in Class which has 1.4

GHz processor, two gigabytes of memory, and includes peripheral devices

such as the Chrome keyboard and mouse, 100 gigabytes of Google
storage (free for two years), and has minimal flicker technology. (Monroe, The
Simplicity and Speed of Chrome, 2015)

The third and final desktop is the Dell XPS 18 Touch

has a processor of 1.9 GHz, four gigabytes of memory, and includes

peripheral devices such as the Dell KM714 wireless keyboard and mouse,
touchscreen monitor, free Dell Venue 7 3000 Series Android tablet with
each desktop purchase, and McAfee LiveSafe twelve month subscription.

Since the brain of the computer is the processor, I made

sure that all desktops relied on the company Intel rather than other names

such as AMD or ARM, who are not as popular. (H., 2006) The gigabyte for each
desktop ranges from two to eight, I gave this variation since gigabytes
space can be used on the web rather than desktop for the LG
Chromebase, the iMac has enough gigabytes for users, and the Dell XPS
18 Touch has an average amount of gigabytes, along with a free tablet that
can be used as extra storage if needed for any reason, which like the
desktop, is portable.
For laptops I looked at newer models that were advertised for businesses.
One characteristic I noticed that each laptop had in common was that all
had four gigabytes or higher. The first laptop is the Toshiba Tecra A50ASMBN22, which has four gigabytes, the second laptop is the Mac-Book
Pro 13 inch which has four gigabytes, the third and final laptop was the
ThinkPad Helix 2ndGen which had eight gigabytes. Also, since laptops are
portable, I wanted to make sure each laptop had a three year warranty if
anything should happen. All laptops listed have a three year warranty and
the Toshiba Tecra A50-ASMBN22 also includes a one year battery
warranty.

Vandelay Industries deserves a computer and a laptop to depend on for

business purposes. With the devices we currently have we are not able to
technologically advance ourselves as we have our products. In order to
eliminate this problem from hindering our progress there is one computer
and one laptop that will stand out as best for our company when it comes to
price, ability, and its level of advancement amongst the other options. All
computers and laptops taken into consideration are current, have three
year warranties, and include the basic peripherals needed for a business. I
hope with both the explanations, pictures, and tables included in the report
we can come to a conclusion on what desktop computer and laptop will be
chosen for Vandelay Industries.
