Advisor: Dr. Nicholas Quintyne
Contributed to and led research project on coalescence patterns of
supernumerary centrosomes in oral cancer cells. Gathered preliminary data and
identified maternal centriole marker. Working towards characterization of
identifying cellular preference for coalescence in favor or in opposition to
maternal centriole.

Advisor: Dr. Michael Glotzer, Mentor: Ashley Rich
Contributed to on going project to characterize Drosophila
neuroblast polarization
with the use of optogenetics. Found aPKC to be sufficient for
the displacement of basal cell fate determinant Numb in the S2 cell model system.
Identified iLID as a superior optogenetic tool over TULIPs for further experiments in
this project
including tests within the endogenous system [neuroblasts].
