Dear Readers,
Here we are in 2016. I cannot look ahead into 2016 and try to
anticipate what it will be like. I have heard all kinds of slogans,
messages, themes, comments and predictions about this year,
2016. Everybody is speaking positively and optimistically about
this year. Nobody wants to speak negatively about 2016. There
are many positive thinkers out here.
But, I want to wait and hear from the true prophets of God who have been continuously
prevailing and crying out at the altar. I hunger to hear from those who have been hidden
away in their prayer closets seeking God for His Word for this time.
Much hurting and suffering went on in 2015. People had crisis after crisis throughout 2015.
Pain and disappointments escalated throughout many lives of our family, our friends and our
very own life. Heartbreak and tragedy gripped many across our land and around the world.
It touched our lives, too.
We are living in perilous times. We have been living in the midst of great trouble and
growing fear. It has been bitter.
I am acquainted with sorrows and fear. In 2015, I experienced all kinds of tests and trials.
It penetrated my life and that of my husband, family and friends. My friends were constantly
calling me and emailing me concerning all that they were going through. There was a true
cry for PRAYER! I cried a lot and prayed a whole lot. I thought that I wasnt going to make it
throughyes, oh yes. But, here I amand it was by holding on to the Word of God and prayer
that carried mecarried me through. I believe that many of you can say that God brought you
through, too.
In this issue, I am featuring two of my poems. I strongly feel that you can find a line, or
several lines, that relate to your experiences of 2015. I am sure that you can identify with my
message in the following poem, You Were There. Oh, where would we be if the Lord wasnt
there?

Looking back at 2015

YOU WERE THERE

Lord, You were there

When tears rolled down my face,
And when I fell again

In painful disgrace.

You were there

When my plans crumbled to my feet,
And when I walked away

In bitter defeat.
You were there

When my life was falling apart,
And when I didnt know

Where to go or to start.
You were there

In the lies, scandals, and shame;
And when everyone somehow

Forgot my name.
You were there

When friends left me one by one,
And when I hopelessly thought

Nothing could be done.
You were there

When trouble bombarded my home,
And when my children were rebellious

So they left and into the streets they roam.

You were there

When I was down to my last dime,
And when I cried so hard

Because I wanted to end it all this time.
You were there

When death took my loved ones away,
And when I felt like

I couldnt go on another day.
You were there

When the doctors report was bad,
And when my heart was

Fearful, heavy, and sad.
You were there

In the morning before
The birds began to sing

And in the midnight
When I worried about everything.
Lord, You were there

When I turned and ran back to You.
You lovingly held me

And gave me life anew!

Looking ahead to 2016

Readers, we can only go forward into 2016 by giving everything to the Lord. This is the
ONLY WAY to make it! Nothing else will work. Absolutely nothing!
What we have been worrying about and dealing with all through 2015, must be unloosed
from our grips and released to the Lord. The more we wrestle and fret over things in our lives
that are troublesome or a big headache, the more frustrated we become. God doesnt want us
to be like that at all. This is not His plan for our lives.

I hope my poem, Let God Handle It, will encourage you to release your worries to Him in
2016. Enter His rest. May His peace abide with you.

LET GOD HANDLE IT

You have done all that you can.

There is nothing more you can do.
There is no more to say.
Release it. Let it go! Give it to God.
Release it into Gods hands.
Step back and walk away from it.
Remove yourself from it.
Free yourself from it.
Let God handle it.
It might be over and time to move on . . .
Then He will remove it.
Yet, there might still be hope in it . . .
Then, He will breathe on it
And make it new.
He can call what is dead to life!
Give whatever it is to Him.
Let God handle it.

And so, my faithful readersin 2016 let us pray for each other. Let us trust God and put our
confidence in Him. Here is my scripture for you for every day, week and month in 2016

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my
commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace,
shall they add to thee.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy
neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight
of God and man.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto
thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from
evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits

PREPARE FOR 2016 And BEYOND!

PRAYING BY DIVINE REVELATION

EDGE MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL, (DCEMI) based in Florida, USA.

Call to me and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things
you do not know
One Sunday morning before the main service started, during our church intercessory prayer time, we
suddenly realised one of our intercessors was not there to pray with us. This is something that she has
never done since she joined our church. She is a faithful member of our intercessory team.
One of our pastors, sensing something was wrong, immediately went to our sisters house to check up
on her as she lives close by the church.
The rest of us started to pray for her, asking God to reveal what was going on. In the midst of much
worship and supplication to the Lord, the Holy Spirit began to reveal things that were happening to our
fellow intercessor. God revealed that she had been under massive spiritual attack throughout the week.
So much so that her body was weak, added to this, her spirit was in such immense fear that she could
barely move. God gave a vision of a snake oppressing her. The amount of spiritual attack she was under
was so extremely high that she was disoriented and confused.
When the pastor returned she confirmed that our intercessor was under a massive attack by the enemy
the devil. Shed had three dreams, while under attack, in which there were snakes and witchcraft, exactly
the same as it was shown to us in the time of prayer. And, she was unable to move from her bed. Now, if
it wasnt for the Holy Spirit revealing what was going on in our beloved sisters life at that point in time,
we were going to pray amiss. Our praying was going to be ineffective, and a sheer waste of time.
Praying by revelation - is the most effective way of praying because at that time God reveals things
that are imperative and most paramount to pray for. The person praying is in tune with God through the
Holy Spirit and acts in prayer for the other person. In that precise moment, God is revealing things which
amount to the perfect will of God, and the results are evident.
Its when the will of God is revealed to the intercessor to pray specific prayers that bring real results, and
the evidence of the hand of God is seen at work. The Bible says we do not know how to pray but the Holy
Spirit helps and prays for us with groaning that cannot be uttered.
The Bible tells us that if anyone has an ear, then he should hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.
As the church today, we need to be so sensitive to the Holy Spirit when we stand to pray for things,
recognising the will of God for that moment of need.

Jesus said to the Father in heaven when He was about to be crucified in that garden, Father, if you are
willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done. (Mt 26:39b - UKJV).
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears
us. In that moment of praying the will of God, we pull down strongholds effortlessly. We operate in the
manifestation of Gods victory over evil spirits such as the spirits of bondage, spirits of infirmity, Leviathan
and Jezebel spirits, and all powers of the enemy. There is so much spiritual benefit to understanding
prayer by revelation. Once exposed to this kind of praying you will never go back into praying casual
prayers, dry prayers, religious prayers and prayers that make no sense.
On that particular Sunday morning.... after our intercessors had prayed according to what God had
revealed to us, we subsequently received confirmation from our dear sister who was attacked. On that
very same day, she was touched of God and she was made whole again.
In praying the will of God there is restoration, healing, deliverance, peace and joy. The evidence of
answered prayer cultivates deeper faith and dependability on Gods sovereignty over the earth and over
all situations we can ever encounter.
When we pray casual religious prayers, we limit the unlimited God with our unsolved circumstances,
which in turn affect us because there were no results achieved when prayer was offered. God has promised
to show us the great and unsearchable things which we dont know, when we call to Him. Exposure to
unsearchable things we desire to know changes the atmosphere, as we enter into higher dimensions of
revelation. We pray precise, specific, effectual fervent prayers that will avail much, much more.
Praying by revelation is a dangerous weapon against the kingdom of darkness - The power that
comes as a result of this kind of praying is immense, and so potent that the devil cant stand it, nor do
anything about it but to flee. Our God is alive today and He is surely speaking and showing unsearchable
things to those that seek him in faith.
The church, or individual Christians, can receive warnings and be alerted of things the enemy is devising
to entrap the church, to gain direction and uncover purpose. We receive inspired thoughts about situations
and circumstances. Paul says, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (Romans
8: 14 - UKJV).
In this day and age, we need Gods snipers in the spirit! A people who will hear Gods voice so accurately
and do as the Holy Spirit says at that precise time to save the day, or someone in desperate need of a
miracle. Jesus says, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me ... (John 10: 27 - UKJV).
Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers fall in sin, while church members are attacked
all the time. Therefore, we need revelation to prevent the enemy from coming to steal from the church;
to prevent him killing the precious gifts in the body of Christ and destroying the mission that we are
commissioned to do by our Commander-in-chief.... The Almighty God.

God speaking + Intercessors hearing His voice + acting on the word at the precise Godgiven time = Answered prayers, major results and effective victories in spiritual warfare!

RAYMOND NSALANGES BIOGRAPHY

Evangelist Raymond Nsalange is currently the senior Pastor at Jabez Ministries and Missions
International in the city of Kwinana, Western Australia. He is also Founding Director of the DIVINE
CUTTING EDGE MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL, (DCEMI) based in Florida, USA. An Evangelist
and Pastor, Raymond Nsalange is a graduate from the Victory Bible College in Zambia, Central Africa,
where he studied Theology. He also studied Womens Counselling in Theology and Child Training.
Evangelist Raymond was Vice President, Missions Director and Crusade Manager for Balm Ministries International
which is based in Chililabombwe, Zambia since September 1999. He pastored Balm Christian Centre in Swakopmund,
Namibia as the Senior Pastor in 2001. He was also the Founder of Jedidiah Christian Academy which was based in
Chililabombwe in, 2000. In addition, Evangelist Raymond was a resident speaker with a Radio Ministry broadcast on
WAPN.net in the United States. He was also the speaker for the Divine Cutting Edge Radio Segment on wapn.net on
the internet.
Evangelist Pastor Raymond is the grandson of the highly respected former president of Zambia, President Michael
Sata, who encouraged his grandson Raymond to join him in politics, which he declined to do, instead dedicating his life
to follow the calling of God. President Michael Sata was recently deceased on 28th October 2014. A much loved leader
of the people of Zambia, he was highly honoured by his nation at a Zambian State Funeral, which was televised on the
BBC television network.
Evangelist Raymond is a devoted family man. Together with his Australian wife, Pastor Tari Nsalange, who is the
founder of Jabez Ministries and Missions International, they have four children. Three sons aged from 2 years to 24
years old, and one daughter 18 years old. They reside in Bertram, Western Australia in the city of Kwinana where they
are dedicated to furthering the work of the Lord in pastoring Jabez Ministries and serving the community.

Rev. Dr. Leonard Cheeseborough is a graduate of South Carolina State University. He is on the engineering
staff of Ford Motor Company. He received a Master of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University and
a Master of Divinity at Michigan Theological Seminary. Dr. Cheeseborough was a faculty member at William
Tyndale College in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dr. Cheeseborough recently received his Doctor of Theology
from Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, Georgia.
Dr. Cheeseborough is the pastor of Raindrop Destiny Deliverance Church in Southfield, Michigan.
He enjoys teaching the Word of God. His first missionary trip was to Zimbabwe and Zambia. His second
missionary trip was to Ghana. He has also ministered in India, Brazil and Kenya.Dr. Cheeseborough has made
a commitment to the Lord to travel twice a year for missions.
God gave him an anointed, humble, and a beautiful woman of God, Adrienne, to be his wife. She graduated
from Michigan State University. Evangelist Adrienne Cheeseborough, has a BA degree in Marketing. They
were married in 1996. They have been married for 20 years. God has blessed them with two wonderful sons:
Christopher (12) and Israel (10).
This is a family with a heart for missions. Dr. and Evangelist Cheeseborough were blessed to travel to the
Holy Land. They ministered in Brazil in September 2012 and Jamaica in 2013.
Along with their commitment to missions, in the USA and around the world, they have implemented several
Raindrop Bible Institutes in Kenya. Dr. Cheeseborough is the author of several books and has a vast gospel cd
ministry. He has invented a variety of biblical games.

The greatly loved husband of my precious cousin, Mrs. Michele Barnes.

Mrs. Barnes is one of our recently appointed

Contributing Writers of the Lamp Newsletter.
Michael David Barnes was born on August 9, 1949
in Detroit, Michigan to Helen and Oscar Barnes,
Sr. Michael was the fourth child of nine children. He has six brothers and two sisters.
Michael worked in the family business, Oscar Trucking/Hauling, throughout his junior
high school and Chadsey High School years. He was very proud of his hard work ethics and
experiences that he and his brothers shared. Michael often spoke of the type of hard work
that they did. He fondly talked about how, in their business, they had the great task of lifting
heavy things, knocking down walls, removing roofs and of course, driving a truck at the age
of fourteen. These skills and opportunities made him more than qualified when he became a
semi-truck driver for Coca Cola Bottling Company in Detroit, Michigan. He was a dedicated
employee until he retired in 2006.

Michael married Michele Gardner on June 30, 1972. From this union, they were blessed with
four beautiful and loving children: Helena, Michael, Jr., Shuan and Shalonda. God blessed
them to be a very caring family. In later years, God blessed them with nine grandchildren.
Michael and Michele became grandparents with huge hearts, of being involved in the lives
of their grandchildren and their families. They were committed to build a strong family and
generation.
Michael was a fisherman. His favorite fishing spots were off of 12th Street, Jeanettes Creek,
Fort Wayne and many more. However, he loved most of all to be at home on his back porch.
His family and friends will remember those wonderful days of sitting there with him. It was
a special time of being together, enjoying the summer air, admiring their porch of beautiful
hanging flowers and a yard of singing birds. Michael, Michele, their children and grandchildren
loved the vast gardens in his yard. Michael loved to watch over his vegetable and flower
gardens that he worked so hard to plant each year.
Throughout his life, Michael was a strong social activist and political advocate. He was
a young protester for civil rights in the 1960s. Michael voted in every local and national
election.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory and life, his devoted and loving wife, Michele, of 43
years of marriage, their children: Helena (Edwin) Michael, Shuan (Lashanda), Shalonda (Eric)
who gave inspiration to Michaels purpose and passion to live was to see nine grand-children:
Kristopher, Kyvonte, Khalil, Toree, Levi, Jadyn, Mya and Mariah. Also to cherish his life
are his brothers and sisters: Oscar Jr. (Cynthia), Robert (Patricia), Vernon, Dwight (Angela)
Kim (Ursula) Alvin, Linda (Pete) and Pamela; his sister-in-law, Ms. Lola Darlene Gardner his
brother-in-law, Mr. Daniel Gardner, his family, uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of friends
who will miss him so dearly.
Dearest Michele,
We surround you and your lovely family in our prayers. We extend our
sincere heartfelt sympathy to each one of you. God has carried you and
He will continue to always be there with you. He cares! Just lean on the
Lord for He will comfort you and guide you through every day.

Congratulations to MCD students Shaundra Board, Jeff Henze, LaToya Mobley, and Karen
Thurman on the completion of their Capstone project and a special thanks to their Primary
Advisor Dr. Linda Slowik!
Shaundra Board graduated with a Masters of Community Development
from University of Detroit Mercy in December 2015. There wasnt a
graduation ceremony in December, therefore, she will walk across the
stage with other UDM graduates in May 2016. Shaundra stated, With
this degree, I can work with a Community Development organization
and take part in the revitalization of Detroit. My avid prayer is that God
heals and restore the city of Detroit.

BIRTHDAYS!
JANUARY MEMORIAL BIRTHDAYS
MOTHER CHRISTINE BURNSIDE,
the beloved mother of Mr. Simmie Lee Burnside, Jr., my husband.
Mother Burnside was a devoted wife, beloved mother of four, precious grandmother and
dear great-grandmother. She stayed busy in her home and in the church. Mother Burnside
was a prayer warrior, Bible teacher and dedicated to serve as an intercessory prayer leader.
God blessed her with bountiful gifts and talents as a seamstress, tailor, dressmaker, and home
interior decorator. Mother Burnside died December 15, 2010.
REVEREND DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
January 15, 1929-April 4, 1968
Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15,
1929, in Atlanta, Georgia. King, both a Baptist minister
and civil-rights activist, had a seismic impact on race
relations in the United States, beginning in the mid-1950s.
Among many efforts, King headed the SCLC. Through
his activism, he played a pivotal role in ending the legal
segregation of African-American citizens in the South
and other areas of the nation, as well as the creation of
the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act
of 1965. King received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964,
among several other honors. King was assassinated in
April 1968, and continues to be remembered as one of the most lauded African-American
leaders in history, often referenced by his 1963 speech, I Have a Dream.
Dr. King married Coretta Scott in 1953. To this holy matrimony, God blessed them with four
children: Yolanda, Martin the III, Dexter and Reverend Bernice King.
The life and history of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is too vast to write in full here in this
featured section and newsletter. However, I encourage you to read and study about this great
man. He went through many trials and tests to stand for the civil rights of African-Americans
and for all people in America to have liberty and rights. He accomplished and achieved many
things during his lifetime. He was a non-violent leader. Dr. King was a man of God who
exercised great faith in almighty God. His legacy lives on.

Mother Hands is the founding pastors wife of Sion Church of God in Christ in Detroit, MI.
She has given constant financial support to this ministry. We were blessed by her offering in

Getting Ready for

Annual Valentines Day Ministries!
This is our 21st year to celebrate Valentines Day through our MATCHLESS
LOVE MINISTRY. We are giving special gifts and our gospel tracts to three
outreach centers. They will receive gift packages consisting of candies, flowers,
stuffed toys, key chains, bookmarks, inspirational booklets, and other items to
express love and care to the hurting and brokenhearted. We will be packing boxes to
send to go ministry centers in Michigan, Oregon, and other locations.
We ask for your prayers. This project requires a lot of hard work. Matchless
Love is the foundation to our ministry. God called us to reach out to people during
this holiday and show an outpouring of love. Simmie and I have experienced many
things through these 21 years with this project. We started in 1995 and we have spread
the love of God far and wide. We have presented a vital message of matchless love across
Canada, the United States, Italy, Africa, and in other locations in the world with the
message of John 3:16.God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son to
save whosoever believes on Him. Then they get everlasting life! It is a win, win, win
BLESSING!
