In unit 5, year 5 VNC will start with a new topic: Explore
the world. Through these students will have chances
tolearn new vocabulary, new grammatical points, how to
write a longer paragraph as well as review the phonic.
Stories/ educational games/ activities.will be added.

Physical Education

Language focus: ALL ABOUT ME


Year 5 will continue their next VLC topic with All About
Me. During VLC lessons, the students will learn how to
introduce their name, age and nationality in Vietnamese.
They will learn some new sentence structures to talk about
their school, hobbies and interest.
*Culture focus: Vietnamese children songs

During the fifth unit of inquiry, students in Physical


Education will experience a variety of ball games and
activities. They will focus on throwing, catching, dodging
and moving into space. Students will practise
communicating positively with others and applying
tactics in a team environment.

Music

Visual Arts

Students will investigate the relationship between Musical


Instruments and the transfer of ENERGY. They will
experiment with and reflect on the effect of sound waves
from voice and/or instruments on water. Through song,
they will reinforce their understanding of the 9 elements of
Energy and also look at ways Musical Instruments can be
used for making energy.

During our fifth unit of inquiry the student will investigate


pattern, texture and colour. Students will explore and
create artwork using a variety of mediums including
texta, pencil, crayon and paint to express their creativity.
