Math Plan for 3/14/2016

Objectives:

What we will be doing: We will tell time to the nearest five minutes; relate a.m. and p.m.
to time of day.
How will we do it: We will practice telling time by using hands on clocks.
I will know I have it when I can accurately tell the time on the clocks in my workbook.

Materials:

Clocks
Workbook

Steps:

I will start out by having the students practice counting by 5s to 60.

Talk about how we know when it is a.m. or p.m. on the clock.
Practice telling time on the hands on clocks in the classroom. I will give them times
during the day and they will show me on the clock what that time of the day looks like.

o 7:20a.m
As a class we will work on a complete problems together in the workbook, then they will
be assigned pages and problems to complete in their workbook.
