REFLECTION BASED ON TRANSCRIPTION OF BBC NEWS

First of all, I would like to send my thanks to our kind English Language
Proficiency lecturer Madam.Malathy Nadarajah who gave me the golden opportunity
for me to do this Independent student learning. On this week, we are given task on
making an audio recording based on the report in our own voice and present in the
class. Since, I have been given such a task during my year of foundation, it was not
difficult to be done. Before I have done my audio recording, I refer some of the
samples of BBC news in internet. It guides and helps me to records with correct
pronunciation and intonation.
After the references from the BBC news videos, I have finally known the steps
to records on my own like the newsreaders style. First, I noticed some difficulties in
catching up with the words used by the newsreaders. Later on, I also managed to
cope with that and begin to transcript. Finally, my recording was successfully done
with correct intonation and pronunciation according on what the question asked to
do. I felt happy to know this new information on how to read news based on the
standard style.
