4. The students will practice typing using the Dance Mat Typing program.
5. Using the last few minutes of class, the students will turn and talk to a friend and
discuss what they learned from the Dance Mat Typing program that day (proper
finger placement, key locations, etc. )

2. The students will be asked to scaffold from their own knowledge and identify
how pictures made stories that theyve read more interesting or fun to read.
3. The teacher will model how to get to the abcya.com paint program.
4. The students will be asked to create a picture using the paint program but before
doing this. they are to use Keyboard Zoo as a warm up.
5. Using the last few minutes of class, the students will be asked to share their
creation with a friend and describe what they have drawn.

pictures to a story can help the reader to better understand the story.

(how to draw, change utensils, type, add pages, etc.)

research questions, they will fill out their research packet.
4. Using the last couple minutes of class, the students will share their findings with a

3. When the students have completed their research, they will share an interesting
fact with the people at their table.
