Part II: Observations of Student Performance

Comments:
Molly has consistently demonstrated a high Level of engagement and enthusiasm for her
practicum activities. She is a very active learner that responds well to feedback and
incorporates new learning quickly into her practice. It is very apparent that Molly is very
reflective in her approach to learning. While this is obviously an important trait in a
student it is encouraging that she is aware of the dangers of over-thinking and the value
of discussion and collaboration.
Molly's interpersonal skills are also a significant strength for her. They have been key in
opening doors with families in situations where trust and willingness were potential
barriers to service. These same skills allow her to have a very natural approach with
clients within sessions and facilitate strong working relationships while maintaining clear
professional boundaries
Mollys maturity with regard to professional and ethical practice is beyond what could be
typically expected from a practicum student. Her declared and demonstrated standards
are a model in all aspects of her work with clients, other staff members and professionals.
She articulates sound ethical reasoning in discussions and demonstrates a clear awareness
of the Canadian code of ethics for psychologists.
