Name of the School Observed: Vicente P. Trinidad National High School

School Address: Sta. Lucia Village Phase V, Punturin, Valenzuela City
Date of Visit: December 14, 2015

Vicente P. Trinidad National High School can be found at Sta. Lucia Village,
Phase V, Punturin Valenzuela City beside the Activity Center. The school campus has
two buildings, one for Grades 7 to 10 and the newly built building besides the
building for Grades 7 to 10 is for the Senior High School.
The offices of the superior person in this school such as the Principal and the
Department Head's office can be found at the ground floor. It seems like quiet. The
ambiance was good and it seems like there is no harm in your life as you enter in the
said offices. The school has the typical facilities that the school has. Except that, this
school has Comfort Room for Teachers, School Garden, Stock/Storage Room and
Cooking Area.

An Observation Guide for the CLASSROOM VISIT

Name of the School Observed: Vicente P. Trinidad National High school

School Address Sta. Lucia Village Phase V, Punturin, Valenzuela City
Date of Visit December 14, 2015

The school has the facilities that a typical school have. Although there are
facilities that are present to this school which other school don't have, most of the
facilities that are needed to the learning of the students are present here. And honestly
speaking, Most of the facilities are in a good condition. Good condition in a sense that
the facilities are not harmful to the learners. Each classroom for Grade 7 are
composed of 30+ students and I think the room is quite wide for them, though it will
help the teachers to easily guide the students and teach every learners effectively.

Your Analysis
How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact on the learning of
the students going to school? What are your conclusions?
The school campus and the classroom per se have a bigger impact on the learning of the
students because if the school and the classroom have a treat on their lives, they can't
study well. The two said place will serve as their second home where they can acquire the
knowledge they need.
How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development? How
does this relate to your knowledge of facilitating learning?
In Child and Adolescent Development we've studied about the unique characteristics of
learners and we can use that knowledge to facilitate their learning. We can use different
approaches, techniques and methodologies to handle their behaviours and attitudes to
organize their learning.

Your Reflections

1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed? Why? Why
not?
Yes, because somehow the school where I've observed is a kind of school which is
conducive to learning of the students. I admire the way the school and the
classroom were facilitates and organized.
2. What kind of school campus is conducive to learning?
The kind of school campus that is conducive to learning is a school campus which
is not prone from danger and offers a good quality of education. A kind of school
that thinks first what is good for their learners.
3. What kind of classroom is conducive to learning?
The kind of classroom that is conducive to learning of the student is a classroom
wherein the physical environment and the socio-emotional climate are in a good
condition.
4. In the future, how can you accomplish your answer in number 3?
Of course I will make a flexible arrangement of chairs which facilitates an
interactive teaching-learning process. I will also build a good relationship with
them but they must know their limitations.
5. Write your additional learnings and insights here.
School and Classroom has a bigger impact on the learning of the students. They
can be motivated or not by the school they have. The Physical Environment and
the Socio-emotional climate inside the room also affects on the acquisition of
knowledge of the students.
