withHaileyayounggirlwhohasPoland
syndrome.Thismeansshewasbornwithan
undevelopedhandandmissingpectoralis
muscle.WeworkedcloselywithHaileyand
theUniversityofNevadaLasVegasin
developinga3Dprosthetic(Robohand)to
befunctional.Wedevelopedtreatmentsto
incorporatetheuseoftherobohandinplay
andleisureactivities.Asastudent,Iwas
abletogiveinputintothedesignsofthe
robohandsandadvocateforchangesthat
couldbemade.DuetothisexperienceIwill
bepresentingonoccupationaltherapywith
Haileyandherrobohandatthe2016
AmericanOccupationalTherapyAssociation
inChicagoIllinois.
